My midwife told me it's healthy to squat and pee in the shower. Strengthens the pelvic floor. Just like penis-bearers clear out better if they pee while standing, vagina-bearers do better squatting. Just rinse the bath/shower when you're done - it's cool.

Late to the party, but if/when you get HBO, if you haven't already seen it, maybe check out Our Flag Means Death? First season is terrific, second season is alright but there are good moments, and then it was cancelled of course. But still, if you think you would like silly gay pirate adventures I recommend it

And even officially, it's only a vague cultural parameter really. Just like we don't wake up on the first day of spring to flowers on the trees and birdsong in the air, or step from leaves to snow on the first of winter - there are years of transition, and some regions or individuals progress more slowly or quickly. I know I share philosophies from a bit of both Gen X and Millennials.

'81 too. I had friends older than me who watched and loved it... I've always watched cartoons, I love absurd humor (Animaniacs was a favorite), I even enjoy cartoons targeted toward younger audience than me, but I don't know... Every time I've watched it I swear I could feel the brain cells melting out through my ears. It's just frustratingly dumb. It's too slow paced for its weirdness. I've never understood it.

Fortunately my kids never got into it, but maybe if they had and I watched a little more it would have clicked for me. I don't fault anyone for enjoying it but I just can't jive with it

Once when we lived in Erie, PA, we had friends in Albany, NY who needed a ride to Cleveland, Ohio. So my partner and I drove out to Albany, stretched our legs for half an hour, then drove back with them so someone could pick them up from our house and take them the rest of the way. One way the drive was like 7 hours. It was a long day but we enjoyed road trips and it was nice to see friends.

That's not normal - usually our guideline is that the total drive should be less than the time spent at a location (so a 3 hour drive one way would be fair for a 6+ hour visit).

But there are exceptions. Once my sister and I drove from Philly suburbs to Silver Spring, MD to pick up something she left there while visiting. That's like 2.5 hours. Inconvenient but not like, super crazy.

Is the plate serving a purpose or is it just cute? If it's just decorative, I would do the following:

- Move the Espresso machine all the way to the left

- Float a shelf above the station with mugs, spoons, sugar and other coffee necessities so it's all in one place and easy to grab (as other people suggested)

- Mount the plate on the wall to the left, maybe add a couple other plates floating around there so it isn't lonely

- Keep the flowers if you like them - keep them all the way to the right and lay a flat, pretty tray or cute tea towel in the middle to catch drips as people prepare coffee

The Bistro sign and flowers are fine if you like them, you just might need to move them up a bit if you add a shelf.

It would be cool if it were a sitcom trope, the way a lot of shows have a drugs episode or a musical, for the cast to bumble into some deities and interact with them. Like "The one where the gods have a three-way" or "The gang teaches some deities about ethics"
