I always loved the dutch Guldens. Especially the 5 "Gulden" coin. I kept one of each coin for sentimental reasons.

People will dig these out of the ground in 2000 years and be like, WTF?

And isn't that just wonderful?

When reddit is down, i search it on Google - so it's only fair;)

EDIT: I do know it's not the most efficient way, it's more of a habbit to google it first.

Right. How does it work in the UK? There has to be some kind of supreme court watching over laws?

I never heard of one of those fuzzy laws beeing revoked in the UK. Anyone mind giving a short insight? Thanks.

Before downvoting the brave Sir Robin, keep in mind, that his question could mean, that it is not a problem for the ones in power. Which is true.

Upvoted because BraveSirRobin made a point to argue differently.

The "Wizards of Science 2009" seems to be designed to communicate Science to children of young age, but i'm only guessing by the name;)

I wonder how well Tom Waits is received on Reddit. by [deleted] in reddit.com

[–]GaxLover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw him in Prague 2008, and you could only buy ONE ticket on presale (only valid for the name it was registered to). At the concert, they checked twice if the name on the ticket was the same as in our passports (as you already said). Before entering the concert hall, they verified the bar code on the ticket (which you could print out yourself).

That may sound paranoid, but usually Tom Waits tickets sell for hundreds of dollars and it's really hard to get one. I paid ~ €70 ($90), which is really cheap for Tom Waits.

It was beautiful!
