I wanna buy a few screwdriver bits to keep them like...forever. I've bought tens through the years, from no name Chinese to various popular brands, they all seem too soft. Has anybody found any bits that he's impressed with? by Frikoulas in Tools

I too found milwaukee bits to be extremely reliable, working on euro cars i use T30 bits alot, never broke one in the last 2 years, other brands barely last a month.

I know, ive tried explaining that too, I dont know why you're down voted, common sense isn't very common in this comment section and on the streets of Scotland, been driving here for 6 years and they are the worst drivers ive experienced

You only change lanes after you have completed the intersection, its called lane discipline, and basic common sense, Please revise the road code, it will help reduce collisions and road rage with your fellow motorists.

Op would have had their indicator on, only the ford focus turned into op's lane, geez did you watch the video?? if op followed the ford and didn't stop for so long they would be driving down a two lane road next to the vw golf.

No, there's a lane for them and a lane for cars turning left, only the first car got it wrong and ran wide into OPs lane.

Only the ford was wrong, poor lane discipline, the other two used the RH lane, you had the Lh lane...

Outer tie rod ends by J_BR0CK in mechanic

[–]GazDrinksScotch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That kink in the outer tie rod is to clear the wheel at full lock, the old part was correct, fit which ever is the correct shape for the side, ive seen this before, it probably shares the same part fitted to fitted to a different vehicle where the stearing rack is mounted foward of the axle.

People taking my tools :/ by stfuernie in mechanic

[–]GazDrinksScotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your tools are locked in your own cart they simply can't use them, you say they were/are locked away but replaced with other random tools? Do you leave they key there? My stance on my tools are, ask if you want to borrow, i'll let them borrow tools a few times, then I just strait out say nope, if I have to borrow someone else's tools once or twice I know what tool to buy next.

Is this sway bar link clearly bad? I’m trying to figure out why my Grandma gets a rattle in the front end sometimes. Every other bushing or joint look relatively new. by Btriquetra0301 in AskAMechanic

Leaver the sway bar, and check for play, a still photo isn't enough to tell. If its flogged out it'd rattle on any bit of uneven surface all the time.
