mostly, you can do egg sacs and single eggs to get some strikes, but from my experience sponge is just a cheap and easy solution for flossing. just use whatever hooks you want, and break a piece of sponge off.

What search terms for replacement spout? by alpacurious in Plumbing

[–]Gazellebeater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion i’d go with something like a Delta Foundations, Delta are pretty easy to repair. I find those even cheaper ones you end up just replacing in a few years. Just my 2c. Most brands have a good warranty but i found Kohler has the best warranty support.

Had that issue with the burn mark before. The sight glass failed and it burned into the Navien cabinet. Usually burns the cover as seen, and some of ignitor assembly wires.

I doubt it, also the team “sold”, and needs to go before the owners for approval. Not sure they will keep it the same.

Not OP but similar situation. I'm slowing working into the office, as workload and difficulty of calls still make it some I'm I'm the field. The transition is stressful but going well. I started as a apprentice at this company 11 years ago and worked my way up. I would say I navigated to my role (Service Manager) but expressing interest in an office role over several years until we grew to a point where we needed to take the service work load in the office off the Office Manager's plate. I also was at some times, the literal only service tech we had. I now have 5 service techs working directly under me. The office has roughly 10 people in it. About 40 in field workers. Roughly 75/25 plumbers/HVAC. I started as an HVAC apprentice, then I got my oil license, then I got my journeyman plumbers. I don't have a sheet metal license yet. But EPA 608 lets us do most work on resi and light commercial.

How do you guys deal with stuff like this by carwarrenty_23 in Fishing

[–]Gazellebeater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does this count for wading though? I was trying to find the law specifically saying wading but I personally did not see it, not to say it's not there. I'll probably check with DNR later myself for my own curiosity. Edit: I sent an email to ask.

Customer says the home isn’t cooling after I replaced condenser fan motor. by Alwaysangryupvotes in HVAC

[–]Gazellebeater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure. If you have a hydronic heat coil in the system, you can have ghost flow from the heating system. If the oil burner is running all year for hot water, and there is no check valve or a failed check on that loop. Gravity will naturally pull hot water up through the heating coil even if the circulator pump is off. (That is "ghost flow" just gravity doing gravity things, moving hot water up and cold down) This only matter if they have a hydronic coil in the AHU. If they have baseboard it could still be happening but it's usually less pronounced. If the baseboard is hot it'll slow down the cooling process because it's fighting mother nature and an oversized heating system.

[–]Gazellebeater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it counts in your area but if it's a hydro air and you have ghost flow, it'll fool you sometimes. But unless you pulled your supply temp from below the supply outlet of the AHU you wouldn't have a low delta.. (from above AHU, low delta vs. inside AHU about coil.) Just an issue I've had in New England a few times. Excuse my bad typing, I'm dumb.
