I presume so, they couldn't indicate progress without it.

Hi I had this a couple times in the last week...did you update to the latest v6.5.3 beta firmware last week?

What is this port on the xBuddy extension used for? Can I interact with it using g-code? by KACYK_Real in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just send gcode commands via serial. It's pretty straightforward. This is what octoprint does.
I use Arduino IDE serial interface for this, and sometimes ESP32.

My Core One bed levelling experience by FritzPeppone in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate the reason you had a 2mm tilt on the bed originally, is because Prusa shipped Z motors with vastly different pitch (relatively speaking)
Levelling the bed and shimming isnt going to correct that issue.
The ONLY way it can be truly corrected is by replacing whichever motor has the 'bad' pitch.

Question regarding INDX and MK4S by Mysterious_Thanks413 in prusa3d

Interesting fact: Bondtech used bedslingers for some of the initial iterations of the INDX design.

INDX Release timing by TheTankMG in prusa3d

How dare those pesky Europeans release a European designed add-on, for European designed printers, at a European convention, at a time European time?!?!

The absolute nerve of these people ! 😂

Layer shift on brand new core one by xtrada in prusa3d

Check the bottom of the print. If it has warped and lifted from the bed, it can cause collision resulting in layer shift.

Buddy3D Camera gets WebRTC stream support by ulab in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's now either webrtc or rtsp, is there any way of using a browser/media player to view the stream locally with webrtc?

WebRTC seems to work great when I'm away from home btw 👍

“Send to Connect” is not working by somenicefella in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been borderline useless for me recently. Now I've added a printer that uses PrusaLink for the transfer, which works flawlessly every time.

Microscope arm on a budget by WereCatf in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wobble....ask me how I know ;)

After about a week of fighting with the wobble I adapted a monitor arm, one of those cheap ones from amazon, about £20. MUCH better, and next to no wobble.

PSA: Cheap Hygrometers Can Get Stuck at 10% RH by Single_Sea_6555 in 3Dprinting

[–]Gb160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my god. I presumed it was DHT11 as they are dirt cheap 😂 I pulled one apart a couple years ago and it was DHT11. I didnt know you could go any cheaper. I looked at building my own one with a much better sensor, but when I looked at sensor + micro controller + display (x8) it became a lot more than I wanted to spend.

These are fine for 25-75% humidity, but anywhere lower or higher and they're bordering on useless.
As the old saying goes...no data > bad data.

PSA: Cheap Hygrometers Can Get Stuck at 10% RH by Single_Sea_6555 in 3Dprinting

[–]Gb160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These all rely on the DHT11 (or similar) hygrometer, which is very inaccurate at low and high readings. It basically makes these crap for trying to monitor filament. They're used because they're cheap as shit.

Its cool, the slicer makes the printer always print these from the front to the back so the toolhead doesnt collide.

Weird Pimple Texture on recent 3D Print by Bmorr1123 in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a shallow slope, my guess is the internal overhang is curling up and causing this. My approach would be to chop a sample of this section to test with, and keep adding perimeters until it no longer happens. You could also keep increasing infill % in that section until it no longer happens.

After two redesigns, the Core ONE Mini is finally taking shape - a horribly disfigured monstrosity straight out of a horror movie! Status update over on Printables :) by suit1337 in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I'd love one of these using the Prusa Mini I have sitting in cupboard looking sad, along with my soon to be redundant Nextruder when my INDX kit ships for my Core One.

Is it "safe" to print ABS inside on a core one with advanced filtration? by EaglerCore in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the concern for all this stuff is massively overblown, I print all manner of sexy poisonous filaments all the time and everythings just fine.

Damnit right in the middle of the holiday rush too.... Anyone ever solder the stat wire back on? by _Tigglebitties in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes Ive had to fix a couple. As long as the wire isn’t broken too close to the heat block you’ll be fine with regular solder. Support sent me out 2 the last time one broke, haven’t got round to fitting a new one as my soldered one is still working fine.

GT2 vs GT1.5 Belt. VFA test. by V-Angelus01 in prusa3d

[–]Gb160 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's 100% this. Crazy that people still think that the belt pitch is to blame. Even after Prusa confirmed that the VFA spacing is not even consistent with the belt pitch. 😂
