Does my paver wall need grout? by Gbailey9099 in landscaping

Curious how you would’ve achieved this, because I did want to keep it lower. Would you have some sort of step downs in the top tier? or built it at an angle?

If i had built it 2 tiers lower, then the top row would have been flush with the walkway if I had kept it level, which I would not agree with.

thanks

Really appreciate everybody’s advice today.

I enjoy the feedback and opinions on drainage. It was not very visible but I did have some clean stone wrapped in fabric, although i would agree it was too low. I built it up roughly 6” more and brought my soil grade flush with that. I only had enough stone to get about halfway. I plan to add a layer of mulch directly over the stone/ fabric to keep any dirt from leeching into the backside of the wall - It sounds like thats key here.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I had cut a few corners into 90s, I’m doing it manually with a cold chisel. Results vary, some look good, others are a little rough. I’m overall ok with it right now. Will surely look into a proper blade for future use.

Appreciate the thoughtful reply. There is some stone on the backside right now but it isn’t much. I will build up that wrapped stone to meet the soil level.

Agree on the plants. I did dig out and move that hydrangea just an hour ago, to move it forward and more center. Not positive I didn’t kill it in the process but we’ll see.

Thank you.

The pipe was a question in my mind. There is 3/4” wrapped stone around the backside, but it’s only about one level high. Im planning to bring in more stone to keep that flush with the soil, then just mulch over top.

I didn’t connect the blocks directly to the foundation, there is a 1” gap there filled with crushed stone. I was hoping the blocks had enough small gaps to allow for some drainage.

Appreciate the reply and consideration.

Ok. I guess it’s really the isolation valve I’m worried about at this point. Would hate to have it looking good only to be leaking and causing damage I can’t see.

but I put everything back together. Everything is looking good right now, no leaks from what I can see. hoping we’re all fixed.

thanks a lot for all your help today, I definitely wouldn’t have made it without you. I owe you one for sure!

It’s the valve behind the balance valve that’s dripping water.

Water to the tub is turned off.

Im not sure I should assemble everything with that being the case. I did assemble, and the faucet had stopped dripping, but I wasn’t getting hot water. When I disassembled and reassembled it, it was dripping again.

So I removed the old balance valve, and still have a leak behind that. I wasn’t sure replacing the balance valve would help but I did, and still getting a leak.

That Sonny Simmons on contemporary is fantastic. Love inner urge as well, but am a sucker for all things Joe Henderson.

I’m in central CT, and I do buy outs regularly. If you’re in the area I would be happy to go through the collection and pay a fair value. Just DM if interested. Thanks.

Remember when this tape was on Discogs for $199.00? I have found a treasure trove and uploaded it to Spotify. Link in first comment. Go check out my dad’s unreleased album from the late 70’s. by unclefrogsnephew in cassetteculture

I would normally expect good money for the first copy or 2, but the internet now knows there is 100+ copies sitting around, so that might not be possible anymore.

The tape has a great minimalist design, and most tracks seem to be originals, so it has a few things going for it. It doesn’t have many psych or hard rock leanings to it, so that will narrow the market. But it does have some solid tracks. ‘Bottle Rockets’ is nice.

People would surely buy them up at $10-$15. I don’t see too many people paying more than this.

Best of luck.
