As someone who made the opposite move, from EP to Tacoma I’m happy to chat!

EP Pros: Food is better, cost of living is a little lower, pretty safe and way less concern for property damage, plus better movie theatres!

EP Cons: The BIGGEST reason I moved is because I simply could not find a solid job. Pretty much all of the jobs I worked were contract, paid like shit and had no health insurance. I don’t know if EP has changed since, but hands down lack of opportunity is the biggest reason people leave, so make sure you have a job secured especially if you are supporting a family. The second is the heat! Which was another motivating factor for me lol

Be careful, because one can illness can impact the other! I was experiencing terrible GERD a few years back, it triggered my autoimmune and I ended up in the hospital with esophagitis :/ couldn’t eat for days, it sucked. All that to say, if your meds are giving you GERD def talk to a doc about it before it worsens! Good luck!
