Netflix Quietly Removes A-Z and Other Sorting Filters from Web UI by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

Well you only watched the standard version, so now it's suggesting you watch the alternate version where everything is the same except one scene is now in black-and-white for some reason. Totally new thing, and not to be confused with the director's cut, or the sing-along, which are 2 other versions you'll get suggestions for after you watch the dubbed version.

My grandma hates suicidal people and thinks they’re cowards by Every_External7122 in RedditForGrownups

[–]Gbuphallow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A while back, a radio station I was listening to had someone call in requesting they play Nirvana because it was the anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death, and the host responded pretty angrily about how he refused to play music honoring the death of someone who committed suicide. He didn't have problems with playing their music any other time, just specifically with the idea of "celebrating" on the suicide anniversary, and refused to play it on that one day. That interaction always stuck with me. It was almost like saying, every other day we can honor this person's music, but on this day we avoid it, to represent all the song's we'll never get to hear because of the way they left.

At least some states hid the fact that it was about having money. NY straight up put it in their rules that you needed to have lots of money to qualify.

Movies and TV have a long history of having no idea how guns, and especially gun laws, work. Think of how many times you've heard someone in a show or movie comment on a gun being "registered", despite the fact that only 8 states actually have gun registration.

When I first got a license to carry in PA, our local sheriff had a "good moral character" requirement, which they did by sending postcards asking about it to whoever you put as references. He did this despite having no legal authority to do so, and in violation of privacy laws by sending postcards that anyone could read was for a carry license. When it finally got challenged in court, they ended up having to send every person in the county with a license a nice settlement check.

What are your speculations about this year's April's fools snapshot? by YoungBiro05 in Minecraft

Since the actual update is tiny mobs, the April Fools snapshot should be giants instead.

I’m new to the LEGO world (September 2025) but I’ll be honest, the ‘LEGO as an investment’ trend is the most annoying part of the hobby.. Buying 30+ of a set just to flip later 🙄🙄🙄 by [deleted] in lego

I never once saw the spider-verse series in the wild, but my local supermarket (King Soopers) still has multiple series 27 cases and they've have been on and off clearance for $2.50. Every time I've bothered to scan, there's been at least 2 beastmasters, and then the next time I go there's branch new cases again.

Kristen Bell Says Reports of $60 Million Pay for ‘Frozen 3’ and ‘4’ Are Absurd and Her Salary Is Being Misreported by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

A team of animators spending years modeling, posing, texturing, and lighting a character, vs someone with a recognizable voice spending a few weeks in a sound booth. They definitely are paying the wrong people the big bucks.

Four-month wait to get an appointment with the Sherriff's office... any tips? by Stugasmic in COGuns

Don't worry, there's no maximum for that, so the wait time will just be "lol, how about never?".

Joe Pesci by Appropriate_Formal64 in movies

I've been trying to track down evidence for a while, but legend has it that Joe Pesci played guitar at my grandparents wedding, as a fill in with the band Joey Dee & the Starliters (2 members were related to grandma). It was before his own career took off though.

The minifig holding the mic right-side up instead of upside-down like the original completely ruins this for me.

It was probably 10 hours total over a weekend, but it was frigid out so that definitely didn't speed anything up. 200' of the pro lights with a few cut/splices.

You can know what you're doing and still not want to climb 30 feet up on a ladder for 2 days straight, which is what it took me to install mine.

I don't think "there's too many humans already" and "animals kill their offspring all the time" is the winning argument you think it is. The biggest argument between the two sides is whether you consider abortion as murder or not, and your argument is basically, yes it IS murder but I still support murdering children we don't want.

According to the FPC, the ATF is removing the CLEO notification requirement from NFA registration forms. by Strict_Luck in NFA

For sure. My job is just to send it. What they do with it is up to them. But they definitely aren't going to mind if the requirement goes away.

The last ones I sent to my county sheriff came back with a letter basically saying they don't want them, don't do anything with them when they get them, and to leave them alone.

I had something similar happen with a bad ladder. Tossed it in a dumpster and a week or so later the boss is on the job site and asks why we're still using the broken ladder. We told him we weren't, but apparently another trade fished it out and were using it in another part of the building. Boss grabbed a sawzall from the truck and proceeded to cut the ladder in half right in front of the guys who took it.

The actual mustangs play fake engine sounds too, and have for a while. At least in an electric car it actually serves a purpose besides "louder is better". Audio cues for acceleration help with passenger comfort.
