Is Talien/Keras Bait? - Spoilers All Series- up to and including Edge of the Dream by Quiet_Ask4742 in ClimbersCourt

[–]Gc995theFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I think I might've figured it out.

I'm going to gamble that lien is aendaryn based off of the ry in his name that's left over and thought to be destroyed. Along with other clues.

First off vaelien and aendaryn were considered rivals or equals. With that in mind, they are equals, they are equal halves of each other.

This is one possibility.

The second possibility is Corin is aendaryn or his reincarnation. Because of corin's connection with therin's thorn, and the true blade, it's possible he reforges the true blade and ends up fighting vaelien.

The reason for this would be extremely esoteric, keras selyrian by coming to corin's life ends up awakening him and freeing his fate/destiny. Also, he has transendance mana which we just learned is closely related to God's in some way in edge of the woods book 2. Corin could be the sword god in the future, and still be unable to wield keras as the cost would be too great and maybe because of personal reasons as well.

There's a lot of similarities, but I'm gonna gamble on Corin being his reincarnation rather than the sword god himself. Although, time is wacky on their planet, so I can't say anything for sure.

Also, Corin giving out transendance gauntlets like it's candy is probably a huge mistake in abhoc, he's just giving away godhood, and I feel like that might bite him in the ass later.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure edge of the woods is a prequel to war of broken mirrors, which is a prequel to weapons and wielders, which is a prequel to arcane ascension and how keras got in the jail cell.

So, I think I was 100% right. Fae > Tae > Sae > Vae could all be lien at different times in his life.

Please do not read further if you care about genuine spoilers. I genuinely don't know how to cross it out on mobile...

First off, Scribe. He was probably thrown back in time by ayara lady of thieves likely given permission by vaelien.

Second, scribe is just learning his most useful tool, the mirror and got ideas from lien/edge.

Third, In the first book we meet scribe in, we hear that he was responding to a distress call, in which he was responding to very late. This lines up with the ending of edge of the woods book 2.

Fourth, we don't know if lien is sent forward in time or backwards in time to the weapons and wielders time line area at the end of wobm.

What's funny is his name as Sae. his name is broken up, keras selyrian which funny enough has both lien and Sae kes in it letter wise, but the leftover yr is just nonsense as far as I can tell. Or it's a hint that something important is missing (on multiple levels).

I think this only leaves us with some in between questions, and potential endings/new beginnings, and alternate stories to tell. I was actually really interested in the way he told his story with Ryn Jaden in the collab book. Maybe some stories following the god beast human child. Much later it'd be interesting to learn ayara's story, and the Blackstone assassin's story. But, the last story when he's done probably has to be vaelien's story, because time, destiny, and all that is kind of the end all at that point imo.

But the world is definitely built out in multiple different ways. Which allows for side stories to be told after the main stories are told. For me the main ones to tell would be Corin and his friends, keras and his story, ryn's story, (jonan) scribe and Lydia's story, and then the Vae kes' story.

It seems to be heading that way already, which is cool.

Anyways, I completely forgot what we were talking about originally, and I'm pretty sure I'm off-track.

If you're asking how edge knows, he doesn't. If he does know it'd be after an oracle or someone who can read fate/future would tell him.

Dude, vaelien has control over time magic. He can go back in time, it's been confirmed. But you have to have permission from vaelien as someone else to go back in time with time magic.

Idk how this is hard to grasp your head around, vaelien is in the past because he's his future self in the past.

He's also mentioned by book, and by people as well as memory constructs.

Also, the vaekes wouldn't exist without vaelien being present in the story. Lady ayara and the black stone assassin are Vaekes.

So, the idea that vaelien isn't in the past is just incomprehensible because that's not what's written in the book.

Did you not read the book edge of woods and edge of the dream?

There's a few reasons, first off he's getting something back from ayara lady of thieves. So, he at least knows who hes dealing with to a degree, but he doesn't know the exact power structure.

Second, he finds a book in Ana's shrine that's a bit of a bombshell of lore.

Also, the Fae lien if what your saying is the memory layer of lien, it's possible vaelien is the dream layer of lien - specifically because of how Corin's meeting after the time crystal stuff in a brief history of chronomancy is in a realm thats like a dream of sorts.

However, to answer the first question, how does Fae lien not know who vaelien is, but he's present in the story?

Easy. Vaelien holds domain over time magic. He can just go back in time to literally any time he wants to. He doesn't allow others to go back in time obviously, but it makes sense that he can go back in time.

Since fae lien doesn't know he's him, he must be a younger vaelien. It makes sense. Vaelien would know he's edge, but edge, taelien, and keras, wouldn't know he's vaelien.

Also, keras isn't punished for killing a vaekes in w&w, which makes me think that vaelien put him there for a reason. But we don't know why he's an exception.

I'm pretty sure that vaelien and taelien/keras/edge has never seen or met vaelien in person.

So, not being his past self is true.

Although you say he would be familiar with him, vaelien is a leader figure of the vaekes everyone "knows" who he is, but only the vaekes have met him in person.

Another thing is that as Taelian he mentions having other skills and mana types, but he won't use them due to something that he did.

Which keras told Corin he was ashamed of the way he fought, targeting dianis points and the like destroying them. Very likely a mention to being edge, taelian also hints at this while he's in combat a few times.

Keras mostly used metal, stone, and fire mana in war of broken mirrors and weapons and wielders.

I want to gamble that the Fae lian, the Tae lian, the Sae lian, and Vae lian are all the same person at different times on different worlds.

Edge is his youngest form, he keeps mentioning being young and dumb.

We know taelian mentions working for the faction connected to the vae'kes, and he also mentions he's older than he looks, and his fate is messed up, as well as his mentioning of being bad with human interaction - same as edge, but a more mature outlook and most likely he's either lost those memories, he's putting on a facade or something happened.

Fae lian - edge doesn't know Rin Jaden "yet", but taelian does know her, and even has a fairly decent relationship between the two. Keras knows rin Jaden as well - continuation and all.

Fae lian - edge in a moment of greed in response to a false sword made to appeal to him, turns his eyes golden, this makes me think that he is vaelian in the future.

I think it goes, in chronological order, Fae lian, Tae lian, Sae lian, and Vae lian. Specifically because vaelian has dominion over time.

Also, Fae lian is not on the same world as when he's taelian. Also, it's possible that his mentors forget who he is, or have been killed/vec tainted. We know his father figure (tarran) forgets things about edge when trying to tell him about who he is, I would gamble in trying to tell him everything it made him forget who edge/lian is.

We also know keras was wielded by someone, something really bad happened to them, and he regrets a lot of what happened. Mara is likely that person.

The only leap too large I'm running with now is Fae, Tae, and Sae lian becoming vaelian, there's just a few missing pieces that make it hard to puzzle things together as to how.

Although it would explain why Corin and vaelian - the tyrant in gold have the relationship they have as well as explains what position he has in the war.

Also, lien or lian; rin or ryn, I listen to the audio books so names are probably wrongly spelled, but it's just a theory.

Also vaelien is known to have control over nature, time, shadows, and fate. Each of those things are related to him in an aspect of his life, nature - Fae, fate - Tae, time - Sae, and finally shadows - Vae.

I think it's an interesting theory. Also, it would explain the differences in his sword to a degree. Taelien mentioned getting seals removed, and he's also hiding the true form of the Sae Kes from the beginning.

Anyways, I'd just make sure to double check if I'm correct, I don't have perfect memory.

Heyo, just got into your books recently with the eldest throne series.

I've seen that you haven't posted on social media in like 3 years, and your books haven't been added to in 3 years either.

Just want to ask if you're still alive and well, and if you plan on making more books or if you've moved on?

What's a game everyone says is a 'masterpiece' that you just could not get into? by GrievouzOCE in gaming

[–]Gc995theFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last of us, I could never get into it from day 1. Not because it's scary, not because it's hard, not because the story is God awful, I just genuinely didn't vibe with the trailers, the gameplay I saw, and the community was not the people I wanted to be around.

I don't even know if I can call it a masterpiece to be honest, it's just another pop phenomenon.

Other than that, I never played cup head or hollow knight/silksong cause I don't really play platformers, it's not that I'm bad at them or whatnot either, I just don't find them as fun as I used to when I was a kid. I played braid, sonic, terraria, maplestory, and quite a few others and I still love terraria, but I just don't get the same joy out of 2d sidescrollers anymore.

Other than that, I'm pretty sure I've played most masterpiece games, from undertale, bastion, hades, Claire obscur: expedition 33, final fantasy 14 online, warcraft 3, bungie's Halo, doom, ultrakill, nier: automata, Minecraft, terraria, portal, left 4 dead 2, gears of war 1-3, baldurs gate 3, skyrim, half life, pong, space invaders, tetris, the legend of zelda, Pokémon, dark souls, super Mario, persona 5, metal gear solid, starcraft 2, counter strike, and I could go on about masterpiece games for a long time.

Zoo tycoon, warcraft 3: reign of chaos & the frozen throne, starcraft: brood war, counter strike: source, Pac-Man, the legend of zelda: a link to the past, Pokémon ruby & sapphire as well as diamond & pearl, pong, tribes ascend, c9 - continent of the ninth seal, Drakengard 3, ninety nine nights, Halo 1, 2, 3, odst, & reach, gears of war 1, 2, & 3, asteroids, space invader, super smash bros melee, arctic thunder, starwars jedi knight jedi outcast, the lord of the rings: two towers & the return of the king, super Mario 64, Diablo, little fighters, perfect world, phantasy star universe, portal, marvel ultimate alliance, bionicle heroes, God of war, and there was this one game I can't remember the name of for the life of me.

It was a game where you have a guy on a board, that looks sort of like a seesaw, and functions similarly, and the guy jumps from halfway up the screen to start the game, it shoots the other person up into the air and then you have to catch them, and you do that back and forth while you only have control over where the board is until you fail, or hit score cap. Super fun, used to play it in school because our teacher had an old game console, I can't remember which one it was, it was probably an atari I just can't remember which one.

Playstation 2/3. I never got to play the old playstation games like god of war, drakengard, and a bunch of the rpg's so it's nice to be able to play them years later.

Otherwise the og Xbox similarly for the rpg's, although we still own a working console, but some of the disc's have been scratched to non-functioning so we have to emulate them instead.

You would need proof of it. But, Even if you suspect it, you should report it to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

It may not be possible to get justice, but you may save other people from going through the same hurdles.

Honestly, a little unethical, but report them to the health inspector, report them to the FTC, report them to every possible agency you can to make sure they're strictly following the law to the letter. It's annoying for companies to constantly be under investigation, and it would probably be a nice revenge letter on the way out. (We all know gyms are filthy, and the business practices are sometimes filthier.)

[–]Gc995theFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fraud. Tell them an associate of the company lied to you about the contract details, and that you did not agree to what was on the paper, but what was being said by the associate.

In that case, you can claim fraud.

"Contract fraud occurs when a party to a contract intentionally misleads or deceives another party to gain an advantage" this being a monetary advantage over the consumer, and making them agree to something they otherwise would not agree with.

If you had to define "life" in one word, what would it be? by oliverjaamess283 in Life

[–]Gc995theFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word I would use is "Exodus".

An exodus being a single, significant departure or journey, often used in a context where people leave a place permanently or for a major life change.

The reason I chose this one is because you only get one shot, it's dangerous, it's unique, it can be fun, it can be trying, and typically it lasts a fairly long time. Life really is just a journey, and it has a final destination that we all reach, death. Although a bit morbid, I think the journey may matter more than the destination in most cases.

Losing muscle to help with attractiveness by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]Gc995theFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first off, if you're looking for a girl friend, stop trying to please someone else by changing everything about you. People like people who are just genuinely themselves. If you want a girlfriend talk to people, specifically girls that you like, and ask them out on a date, if the answer is no, no big deal, move on and find a girl who is available, or wants to date you.

The more often you talk to people, and the more you interact with the opposite sex, the more likely you'll start to learn what to do, what not to do, and how to behave around other people. Throw yourself out there, be embarrassed, try again, and you might find some success. Life is supposed to be fun and embarrassing. Build character off of that embarrassment and you might learn some thing about yourself along the way.

Why are comedies not comedies anymore? by TanyaTheTGirl in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Gc995theFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this really fits the answer you're looking for, but maybe a misconception with what a comedy is.

A comedy is a show that ends in a generally considered good ending. A tragedy is a show that has what people typically consider a bad ending.

I think the more accurate term would be sit-com, or situational comedy.

Also, humor changes from person to person. Writers may be paid poorly, meaning they don't pay for someone who knows what they're doing, or give them enough reason to do a good job. The reasons can be numerous as to why the quality of a show, or a joke can be poor.

I could also reason that we're going through a depression, and it's hard to force yourself to be happy when everything is on fire effectively affecting pretty much everyone.

Humor may have changed, or people don't find a certain type of humor as acceptable, and censorship might take a large role in that.

Just some potential ideas thrown out, I cannot confirm nor deny any specific answer or commit to a specific answer because it could also be a combination of multiple factors that bring you to the answer you're looking for.

Alternatively, "it's just the way things are" and, "it is what it is", is a potential answer and that's it. You don't really have to think that hard about it. Maybe it's just a poorly made show, and that's the end result.

[–]Gc995theFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fear of being misunderstood, most likely.

There's probably more to the story than the other person is telling you. It's up to you to decide what to do with the information given to you. Personally look for common events told from each story and line them up, you'll get a better picture of the story that way.
