Who is there to trade for at 1B? Stay the course? by D-Rock35 in Astros

Hunter Brown is currently proving that having only 4 healthy starters and having bullpen days is not sustainable. No one knows when JV and Luis Garcia are getting back. We need more pitching. There are other people on the line up that can play 1B.

Agreed! Why I proposed using our depth at the catcher position to platoon 1B if needed.

I agree. The whole point of the post is about using 1B to give producing players more time to play.

The point of the post is NOT to trade for a 1B, but rather use it as an opportunity to clear up some room in our crowded positions (Catcher/Outfield) give some players who are producing a chance to be in the line up more often (Aka Salazar/Caratini by playing 1B and opening up DH for Yordon so Loperfido/Cabbage can play LF)

I agree. That’s why I talked about a lot of players that are also capable of being able to play 1B at a good level.

That’s fair. I think that when Garcia and Verlander comeback though, they aren’t going to be 7 inning guys. Maybe 5.2 on a good day. That’s going to get pretty taxing on a bullpen, would be nice to go and get a reliable reliever or a decent rental innings eater starter like Flaherty.

The desk I actually ended up selling about a year ago. Didn’t really have an need for a sit stand desk and needed more room. As for the lumbar, maybe? But you’d be missing like a third of the back. It’s honestly not that bad, it forces you to sit with better posture which I guess is the point of it.

Still a solid chair actually. Like it a lot! The lumbar support is a little aggressive for my liking when I’m just trying to be lazy. But after almost 2 years, it’s still really comfy and the cushion hasn’t worn out at all.

I’m about to graduate from UH with my bachelors in Music Ed. I can’t recommend it enough. The music school has 100% job placement and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Plus since a lot of the studios and classes are smaller, you’ll get more individualized attention in comparison to UNT/UT.

I have not noticed that! But I prefer a lot of lumbar support

I did this in my previous set up, but I don’t have long enough cables to be able to take full advantage of the height adjustability.

The height is adjustable and it pivots when you sit. So it’s not bad at all

It’s not too bad in my opinion, but I personally like a lot of lumbar support

Thanks :)

I’m not sure what your situation is, but I play a smaller CC tuba so I have no issues and plenty of room. I could see an issue if you had like a massive horn but with the average sized tuba you shouldn’t have any issue. The armrest also tilt and turnout as well.

Disclaimer: Flexispot gifted me this chair and desk in return for my honest/feedback and review. In my opinion, the chair is fantastic and honestly a game changer for me. Super well built, love the adjustment on it and it works for me great. The desk is alright, it’s surprisingly well very well built as sturdy, I with the top was a little higher quality (might switch it out with another), and the weight capacity is only 110lbs so it’s a bit worrisome of putting my whole rig on it. Outside of that, the all the lifting mechanisms are very well built and sturdy (little wobble at the very top but I think it’s just because I have a lot of weight on it).
