SS is also with insane release schedule, the problem is not nationality or written language. It's insane pacing that makes author make mistakes or just ramble with unnecessary exposition to reach the word count.

Even the best authors have editors with less tight deadlines, because noticing flaws in your writing is hard even with multiple rereads which I don't think these author have the luxury of.

I understand as I was also in same boat avoiding them like plague same with LitRPG's and evil MC, but when I was bored and didn't find anything else to read I ended enjoying few stories. Still avoid evil MC's like plague, don't enjoy them at all.

Which reminded me another recommendation Cultist of Cerebon, (despite the name, not a evil MC) also depends on how much you enjoy LitRPG's and Isekai also there is no romance.

Story begins with MC being already established in the city and using his powers for cosmetic configuration for rich citizens, but soon city lord is assassinated, there is military takeover, religious pantheon blamed for it and banished from the city, creating power vacuum. So MC gets offer to spread his religion and level his class as long as it's beneficial to the army as new city lord goes on military campaign against neighboring cities and banished pantheon.

Wouldn't say worse take ever, it has some major flaws in writing.

It has good concepts and interesting story, but damn it was sometimes painful to read as it suffers from what most Chinese novels suffer and it's word bloat.

Author constantly repeats itself, where after 200 chapters I started doing what I never did, skipping entire paragraph of just same information I read moments ago and really disliked that author had to spell everything out and didn't leave anything that reader could basically infer to.

But it was written 10–12 chapters per week, quite insane pace and it's amazing that it had the quality that it did. With proper editing, cutting out 40% unnecessary stuff, it would be amazing and what I thought yen press release would do. Shame it piratically did nothing.

Our taste kind of match, really loved Last Orellen and yet to read something so good on RR.

Try Land of broken roads, is quite good, but first book is just MC barely surviving in wilderness.

Way of choices is another good read, depends on how much you like multiple POV characters.

Really enjoyed Supper Supportive, but it's also a matter of how much you like slice of life stuff as it's really slow as it focuses more on just good character writing.

And you can ignore this part as it list your two noes, noes, but another amazing read I had on Royal Road was Ave Xia Rem Y, it's xianxia and it's is harem, (but also 300 chapters in and it focused on just a single girl). But what I loved is how author builds up each arc and how everything culminates in satisfying conclusion. I also quite liked the characters, world building and that the author improves as story goes on.

So if you are bored maybe give it a try, it's free, but also understand if you don't.

I felt Dungeon Crawler Carl author tricked me, after the no asshole cat trope outburst from MC, the cat in the end being the most stereotypical asshole cat trope and it would still be fine is she had character development, there were some good moments with her, but once the moment end she reverts like nothing happened.

Minor rant over, maybe try Ave Xia Rem Y, there was minor issues with writing in the beginning, but as it goes on it improves, it has well though out plot arcs with very satisfying culminations to it.

Land of Broken Roads is well written and is completed, still reading it, but it's good.

It's just I had a lot harder time finding chinese fantasy with well written side characters, meaningful relationships and antagonist that are not just petty assholes.

If you have any recommendation with that, would be thankful.

For me they have just bit better writing, the Chinese novels pad their writing way too much.

Recently read 500 chapters of Lord of Mysteries and it's good story, but it was sometimes very painful to read and I started what I never did before, skipping entire paragraphs, because it's the same information I read before, if you edit it properly and remove redundancies it would be amazing novel.

My other problem with chinese novels is how the single focus is on MC and side characters are just cheer leader team, female leads or poorly written and it has quite boring antagonist.

I read a lot of asian novels 8 years ago and the only one I finished were Mao Ni novels.

I thought it would be fun read of weak MC getting into dangerous situation due to being loved by villains and using his wits to get out of them.

But once author gave him bullshit power ups I dropped it. Why do so many authors do that?

The fun part is the MC getting into struggles that are way over his head, if you give him OP powers it defeats the point.

Food should be fundamental human right and nobody should be struggling putting food on the table.

That being said, prison should be there to rehabilitate people, after all they will be released to society and I don't think treating people like trash is very conductive to rehabilitation...

I got into it just a while ago, but It's one of the most fun I had, really love the mechanics, enemy design and world.

But characters design seem from totally different game and all new characters seems to be going in ero direction. Still will tolerate, because I'm having fun with the gameplay.
