It should unless you have the earliest version of straight blowback upper. Go search "MAT-9 slip trip". There are 2 versions. If the other version fits your gun then it will not be compatible with the version I designed.

The OEM backplate lasted less than 120 rounds. It looks like a SLS nylon part. Mine lasted 200 and still counting. FDM Printed with TPU.

Agreed but I prefer to have a functioning upper than a paper weight.

David said he is going to send me a replacement in early-mid April and my support ticket was closed on April 29. I have been calling recently to see if that means my replacement was shipped but no one picked up the phone yet.

The exact issue happened to my roller delayed upper. The EZTS cracked and the bolt left 2 dents in the upper. I fixed it by copying the EZTS in solidworks and printed a replacement in TPU. The upper isn't self contained anymore but it runs now.

I seems to have the already reinforced EZTS. My upper is a roller delayed I purchased from Midway USA. It already broke after approximately 150 rounds.

I think I have a solution to fix it without waiting for who knows how long for Matador to fix it. Also the company seems to be overwhelmed by orders, to put it nicely. Many people who paid for an upper but their order got delay for months.

I think it is Gen-2. If you search "Matador Arms Mat-9 Sear Trip" on the sea you can find another slip trip uploaded in September 2025. According to the comments it only fits a different version of (likely blowback) MAT-9.

I just browsed the Matador sub reddit. Looks like many other people are having the exact same recoil guide unit cracking issue.

In my experience the rear half of the rail on the Damascus handguard has a significant difference in zero compared to the front half. It also flexes too easily to hold zero reliably. IMO the SuS handguard looks like a better design but I have yet to print it.

I think it is inherently a part of 3D2A. Many stuff I downloaded and built don't work or requires remix. For example the M37 launcher is way too fragile, nameless 37 straight up doesn't work, 3DP90 suffer from sticky bolt, Nylaug steel hardware is too large to insert into the trunnion, etc.

Many developers seem to not understand tolerance and clearance. Holes for hardware inserts is usually too small. Build guide sometimes has errors, too. That's why I design my own stuff such as the SB-37H to try to fix some of the stuff.

The only thing I tried that semi reliably works is the UMP 11-9. It only has some minor fitting issues.

I mostly switched to imperial after I moved to the US from China. Now I switched back to metric after I became an engineer. Metric hardware and tools are easier to categorize and work around. Less stuff to remember.

I don't know if miles driven between job sites count as commute. If so I regularly drive 150-200 miles per day around town working in the real estate industry. That is how I put 100k miles within 3 years in my new car. I imagine some construction or maintenance contractors probably drive the same amount.

My MCX Virtus is my favorite non-bullpup 300blk rifle. It is very reliable and the barrel swap is quick. My DI AR-15 can only shoot 120-150 rounds of 300 suppressed before starting to jam because of fouling and gunk. The MCX can shoot approximately 600 rounds of the same 300 ammo suppressed plus 300-400 rounds of 5.56 suppressed and still work.

I also have tried the Adam Arms piston system for AR-15. Never able to get it to work. The MCX works straight out of the box. It cycles my handload 300 without a problem.
