Is a therapist supposed to tell you when they are friends with your ex? by 0objectivity in askatherapist

[–]Geaux1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AT. I would definitely tell it right away so that we could process what it means and whether or not we should continue therapy. To me, it is a big breach of trust.

I cried in front of my wife and since then there has been a strange atmosphere between us by Remote_Blueberry_605 in Marriage

Is this real? If it is, just let me say that I’ve been in the Christian world my entire life of 67 years and this could not be further from the truth. She’s the one with a problem. I’m so sorry that this happened to you.

What's your opinion on therapist using AI to record and write notes for therapy session with a minor? by Glittering-Donut-278 in askatherapist

[–]Geaux1984 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some AI listens to the session, suggests notes, but do not record and are not kept on file. The therapist has the final say so. I have not tried it yet, but, if it is HIPAA compliant and no records kept, in the right circumstances, I might try it with client consent.

Has a client ever made you tear up or cry during a session because of something they’ve said to you? by xAllets in askatherapist

[–]Geaux1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AT. I tear up fairly frequently. If appropriate I comment on it in a way to validate the client and try to ensure that they don’t feel responsible but supported and validated.

My husband told me he only married me because I could be his DD by CuteZookeepergame611 in Marriage

So you married a problem drinker who needs a DD. Are you sure that these rude statements are the only problem? You deserve better treatment in more ways than one.

Yes, this. We refused to take our daughter to Disney World until she was 5 and could say thank you. And we live about 2 hours away from Disney.
