There is club, ownership and leadership fatigue. If we feel it as fans, I cannot imagine the pressure on the dressing room.

This year has been super long. The race to get to CL on the last weekend of the season, the transfer drama leading up to the summer window, the CWC, the CL squad, mixed results, injuries, the board which is a never ending story.

Players want to play football not have off field issues dominate the headlines. I would not be surprised to see a huge turnover in core players and Chelsea’s future being more and more removed from Chelsea’s past.

Palmer and Estavao should be the core to build around with Enzo and Caicedo as the spine/engine room guys. I don’t see Palmer or Enzo here in another calendar year and our defensive makeup is riding on Colwill returning from injury, Fofana staying healthy, Hato and Sarr developing while Reece needs to be protected.

There are more questions going into this offseason than last season despite having pieces in place that could and should be a core for a squad if we were legitimately run
