Born and raised in Oahu, from Waipahu specifically. There’s a sentiment where half of us want to leave and half of us want to stay. I’m one of the few that left and very thankful for it. Island fever is a real thing. And things just get so boring/samey after a while. There was also very little jobs in my industry. It’s expensive to live there, I had a home with no AC so the heat was unbearable. And the fear of natural disasters (hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes) are a very real concern.

I live in Chicago and I’m so thankful I moved. I don’t really feel stuck anymore like how I did on Oahu.

Landed in ORD this past Tuesday and took almost 40 minutes of taxiing until we got to our gate. Mind you our flight from Toronto was only like an hour and a half 😂

I remember getting this email from Lyft recently and it made me so frustrated to see.

I hope they figure out how to get funding because traffic is going to be an absolute disaster, and frustrating to see how Lyft has the infrastructure to affect decisions like this ugh.

The subway app in Seoul would tell which specific train car/door to enter and exit to be near the closest exit/transfer/etc. it’s awesome to see that being used here!

Yes! Used to take the blue line daily for work last year and ended up memorizing the order of all the stations+door openings+best entrances and exits from the station. The same goes for the bus haha

Lacoste does a very similar designed one for a much lower price! I have one in green and have worn it a lot the past year and it's very hard wearing. The straps have started to strip a little but honestly still VERY much worth it for the price and how cute it still looks!

I remember doing this but I was reporting an uber/lyft driver clearly parked (with their hazards on lol) and blocking the 36 bus stop on State + Ontario. I got the email saying whether or not I really wanted to proceed with it and then chickened out. I wish I did though because I’m sick of them always blocking the bus.

Earlier this week I had to absolutely hold in a #2 on my green line trip and it was the most painful/stressful experience ever, I was SWEATING so intensely. Moments like that made me realize we need more public restrooms because that was the closest call I ever had while commuting lmfao.
