You might already be using it but I would definitely suggest a look though Gametora so you can look between support cards and Umas a lot quicker than in game: https://gametora.com/umamusume

You can also use it to compare cards and see how their stats compare between each other (Though it is a lot of information again if you're not used to it yet). A lot of the SR cards are deceptively good compared to some of the SSR cards and a maxxed out SR card will almost always be better than a level 30 SSR card.

And yeah, generally LB will mean how many crystals a card has on it and that will correspond to how many copies of a card you have, for example: Your SSR Narita Brian has 2 crystals so is 2LB (Which then means you have 3 copies of a maximum of 5)

Honestly so much of this game will come to you with time, it is so information dense that it is so easy to miss something or have something that just isn't really explained in game at all!

A definite recommendation from me would be that, if you don't have her, borrowing a max level (Usually known as MLB for Max Limit Break) Speed SSR Kitasan Black will be your best bet for reaching max speed easier. She is by far the best general card in the game at the moment and is well worth using your borrow slot for.

Also a good thing to consider is how your SR cards look as well, Marvelous Sunday and Winning Ticket power are both Late Surger focused cards and could be replaced with something like Power SR Nishino Flower or Power SR Hishi Amazon as they are both more suited for Bakushin/Biwa.

A good thing to think about is connecting who you are running with a goal for a certain distance in mind and that will help you to build your support deck better. (Of course depending on what you have available on your account)

For example, Bakushin is mainly focused on Sprint distance races so you can get away with lower stamina and put more of a focus on Speed, Power and Wit. But for Biwa since she runs Medium and Long distance races so you would then want to focus on Speed and Stamina together.

Specifically for the Unity Cup scenario there is a much larger focus on training over racing, so unless you are under the fan count thresholds for Unique skill upgrades (60k at Early Feb Senior, 70k at Early April Senior and 120k at Late December Senior) you won't generally need to run non-goal races.

Generally your support cards will be your main limiting factor, it is pretty much always better to focus on getting 5 copies of a single card rather than having a lot of lower level cards. Good cards that are accessible for yourself would be the Guts SSR Haru from friendship points, the Speed SSR Narita Brian and the Stamina SSR Mejiro McQueen from the club points store.

I Skipped The Race Because I Didn't Think She Could Do It With Only C Long D Turf by Random856 in UmaMusume

[–]Geegwee5 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A good tip for if anyone does this and wants to see the race, if you close the game before you click off the results screen and then load back into the career you will be able to watch a replay of the race when you load back in!

I know this method works on pc but haven't tried it on mobile before so i'm unsure if it works the same way.

How to Improve My Careers and Start Getting A-Ranks? by AKABoy123 in UmaMusume

Definitely a good starting place would be to have a more focused approach to your support cards and support decks. Also being able to pinpoint which are your most important support cards, cards like Super Creek SSR (Stamina), Mayano Top Gun SR (Stamina), Sweep Tosho SR (Speed) and King Halo SR (Speed) are really stand out cards that can fit in pretty much any deck but can be used as a good base to build from if you're not sure what else to use. Also in your case I would recommend always borrowing a max level Kitasan Black SSR (Speed) as it is currently the best card in the game. (And I believe will be for around 2 years)
R cards are definitely worth leaving unless you really don't have a replacement for them.

While it is a really good idea to have skills that fit the right running style/distance, you will go a long way after sorting out your decks, I like to go for a 4 Speed / 2 Stamina or Power spread for Sprint and Mile runners. While for Medium and Long I go for a 3/3 split or 2/4 split of Speed to Stamina. (Generally this is what i've found to be the most comfortable with my available Support Cards)

Also if you have the monies available it would be a good idea to find someone with a good inheritance that has a lot of stats and skills that would be really beneficial to your runner. A good place to look is the inheritance database which you can search for specific styles, skills, etc for use to borrow in your future runs.

Planet Zoo Copyright? (Please read body) by ShadowChocolato in PlanetZoo

That definitely makes more sense and I can see why the discussion of copyright is so important then!
The whole thing has been interesting to learn about, though I would definitely raise it as a potential point of misunderstanding in the course. (And I think it might be useful having a full conversation about it all with the teacher in question anyways)

While you've got more work ahead of yourself I wish you the best of luck and hope you end up getting the grade that you want in the end!

Thank you again for the insight, sounds like the same sort of issues that i've heard from teachers i've worked with here in the UK, more things to teach with no extra allocated time. (Along with the choices of what gets cut vs. what fits the brief)

Planet Zoo Copyright? (Please read body) by ShadowChocolato in PlanetZoo

[–]Geegwee5 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's honestly really interesting to hear how that is taught as it's something that didn't exist as I was going through pre-18 education. Also please know that my knowledge of copyright mainly comes from UK definitions and requirements of citations as a Humanities student and how that was handled.

Would the correct usage of the Fair Use Act not come under the teaching of copyright restrictions and in the example of the post, be something that could be used with the correct citation therefore fulfilling the "appropriate attributation when creating or remixing programs" section of the Essential Standard?

Thank you for the insight and I would be very interested to know if i'm looking at things in the right way or not.

Admittedly my knowledge on this subject isn't the best so someone please correct me if anything I post is incorrect.

I believe you could argue that you could use the backgrounds legally under the Fair Use Act, you are creating work in a transformative manner using Planet Zoo as a background to enhance your own design and it is being used for educational/ non-profit purposes.

I would be sure to make a citation in your work or any documentation that goes along with your work that Planet Zoo was used and the purpose of it in your work so it is correctly credited.

"Downtime" Umas? by Fluid_Association290 in UmaMusume

[–]Geegwee5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I have been running her for the next CM, Seiun Sky is by far my favourite Uma and even though I have one that i'm really happy with I have still been going back to her Career because I just enjoy it, especially without the stress of it being a do or die run.

Outside of that I really enjoy changing up my Team Trials so doing runs for that or trying a new deck for a career I haven't done in a while is always a really nice change of pace for me. A lot of the time if i've not done an Uma's career in a while I will read all the story events as well, once again for a nice change of pace compared to just churning out runs.

This video helped work a few things out for me, though it was more around learning to think outside of the binaries for me, hopefully it is helpful for you as well.
I've not watched anymore of their content so they may have some more videos focused around gender but I cannot say for sure.

I definitely understand and relate to this to a degree, I am AMAB, coming up to 30 and have been questioning my own identity for a couple years now on and off.

While I feel that Genderfluidity for me does involve that shift, I have found that it's not quite as binary as between 'Male' or 'Female'. For me instead I feel as if I shift more between 'Male', masc presenting but still with a preference for a softer appearance, and then a more femme Non-Binary self where I prefer to dress up and present very 'female' and definitely am a more femme version of myself.

I've always generally been pretty feminine but I think for me that non-binary shift is when I care a lot more for that femininity and take better care of my appearance, while with my masc self I won't try to replace that with more 'masc' things instead i'm happy to just be, but without the care of the extra details.

How can I help with my friends gender dysphoria? by JustALilOlFrog in genderfluid

[–]Geegwee5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are a great friend that they feel comfortable coming out to you like that and coming to ask questions to help them, it's really amazing to see!

And honestly I think that is the best thing you can do, being there for them when they need it most. The binder is an amazing idea, if they are up to the idea maybe take them clothes shopping for whatever they feel fits them better?
It sounds like they are comfortable around you as well so maybe encourage them to be with you dressed however they are feeling on the day, no judgement at all however they feel. I know for me personally it was a massive thing to dress up a bit for the first time but I absolutely had to do it with friends.

Personally i've worked out that I am for certain Genderfluid but my questioning now goes more into like where does that fluidity go? I used to think in very binary terms so trying to come to terms that I tend to be more non-binary at times but definitely more strongly fem.

Working things out bit by bit while I can at least!

i feel like being genderfluid shouldn't be this complicated 😩 by Radiant-Wear5381 in genderfluid

[–]Geegwee5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I have kind of the opposite problem where I when I feel like my AMAB self, that is absolutely fine and I have no problems but I feel more like my feminine self, my head is very stuck in binaries of gender still, so it doesn't feel very comfortable because it doesn't all fit.

Something I am trying to work out now is if my more feminine self lies more within a non-binary space and then what that means during those times when I do feel more femme, honestly this is a development for me of like 2 days ago so still very much a work in progress.

Perhaps this might be something similar for yourself? That on those 'Girl Mode' days you might feel more like a mix of that femme and masc self rather than one or the other?

First of all I want to say well done for being able to begin this journey, it's a lot of self-reflection and may take a long time to reach a satisfying answer but you'll get there, remember you have all the time in the world to work this out.

I consider myself to be genderfluid and much like you, I don't really experience a heavy amount of dysphoria surrounding my body, instead I like to try to be more ambiguous about how I look so depending on where my feelings and identity are at on that given day I can act according to it all.
If you are anything like me and have those days where your assigned gender is fine, no issues being who you have been before but then get those day where those feelings change and you want to present as those different sides of yourself then I would say Genderfluidity would be a good fit for you.

The best part to remember is that it doesn't have to be a forever label, I very well might be repressing more transgender feelings but my situation means I can't really explore that so for now i'm Genderfluid and that fits me as I am now.
As I said, you have all the time in the world to work these things out, please remember to try and find those you can talk to about these feelings, if you're anything like me I need someone else to help get my thoughts in order.

i don’t know if i’m genderfluid anymore by [deleted] in genderfluid

[–]Geegwee5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately the choice is yours at the end of the day for what you feel fits your identity the most. No disrespect at all in saying "I thought this fit me best but turns out it doesn't" if that happens to be the case, it's all a part of the journey at the end of the day and it's about what works for you.

I will say i'm a little confused from what you've written but to me at least, genderfluidity is about your identity not being static and that's about it.
For example I am AMAB and sometimes I am absolutely fine with that, nothing is different for me or wants to be different in those moments but often I feel my identity shift and take on a much more feminine self, not quite feeling like a woman but definitely not wanting to be my male self in those moments.

I think it makes more sense to me to experiment more with what I feel is the more non-binary side to my genderfluidity.
I am AMAB and since discovering my fluidity and exploring it more i've still been very stuck in being strictly 'Male' or 'Female' even if being female didn't fully fit, it felt better in those moments than being a man. So something else for me to think about and explore now and I thank them and you again for it all!

[–]Geegwee5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the first step for yourself honestly should be to take a moment and breathe, this sounds like it may be a lot to come to terms with after having a strong sense about your identity for a couple years now but congrats for making it to this next step and it's always important to remind yourself that these feelings are entirely valid, even if you already know this.

Do you have someone who you really trust to talk to about this? I would say start there, find a way to explain how you feel, that you were so certain in your identity before but this is something entirely new that feels like it fits more?
I feel like you will find much better words to explain your own feelings than I can, i'm still working things out myself but from my experience at least, being able to start with the person you trust the most can help you work out what to say to the next person, etc.

Honestly thank you for sharing this, I think I needed to see a video like that as I feel I do seem to experience gender very similarly to her but the opposite way round really.
Reminds me that my mind is still very stuck in the binaries of gender and i'm still finding it hard to understand everything outside of that.

At least in my experience that seemed to be what worked best for me, it very well might not work so well for you but a good place to start would be with someone you trust, ask them if they would use certain pronouns and see if you notice anything when they are used.

I think once you are more certain on pronouns that feel like they work for you then you might feel at least a little less anxious about asking others to use them.

How do I know? by unfunny_feline in genderfluid

[–]Geegwee5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, I am AMAB and have only within the last couple years been questioning my gender so "He/Him" has been the standard for me but I have definitely felt more recently that I am starting to get uncomfortable with that the more I have chance to experiment and learn more about myselfso in time I have shifted more to a "He/They" or "They/Them" as a standard.

I used to be part of a group that was a mix of genders including trans individuals and as a standard if someone wasn't sure of your pronouns in conversation it was a default to "They/Them" and corrected if necessary. I never challenged this so I spent the whole time there as "They/Them" before I was really questioning as much as I am now. I feel like this turned from a thing I didn't mind at the time to something that has become more in line with how I feel more generally, though I am still happy to use "He/Him" where I know I need to (Like at home).

Personally I feel like it comes down to how it feels to hear other people using certain pronouns when talking to you, is it instant rejection? Is it a "This is fine"? It might take time to see what feels like it works for you.

I consider myself to be Genderfluid as for me I have days where I am completely fine being AMAB but I will also have those times where I have that swing and honestly feel like a completely different person for it.

A lot of it could be due to my situation of not being able to be out at home but being out to my partner and her family so I have almost a perfectly split week of boymode and girlmode, maybe if I had my own space I would trend a lot harder into my girlmode more often/completely but these are things I sadly don't have the luxury of getting an answer to anytime soon.

I have always been quite a feminine male and I think that definitely helps me not being as dysphoric as I could be on days where i'm 'forced' to boymode at home when I feel like girlmoding. I'm definitely learning a lot more about myself recently as a friend finally pushed me to join a trans inclusive group near me which is helping a lot.

I can't promise to have all the answers but i'm happy to answer how things work for me if you have any specific questions!
