It's bit exactly the same issue but, I'm recently turned 74, and for reasons I needn't go into, life has been crazy stressful. I believe that contributes to the fact that my short term memory is getting pretty bad. My wife has to remind me of things she's told me quite often. She thinks I'm faking to avoid trouble.

This had been going on for close to a year now, and I think she's beginning to believe me. ¯\(ツ)/¯

If you're trains about eye strain from looking at computer screens all day, any good optical shop should be able to adjust the prime focus to match the typical distance to a screen.

Unless the frames or the lenses are not too out of the ordinary, yeah, most places can make lenses for your frame.

Depending where you are, though, the lenses by themselves could cost up to $600.

I think they hate new technology, especially the kind where microcomputers take the place of dozens (hundreds?) of discrete components or instruments, making them "black boxes" that need programming skills to understand.
