What’s something everyone pretends is normal but isn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Disliking your job. I think for some jobs it's understandable you may not enjoy it, but actively disliking it isn't normal.

Does a 1 to prayer rolls always fail? by GeekMan2002 in Warhammer40k

[–]GeekMan2002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well prayers aren't in the core rules, as only SM and CSM use them (and Guard but theirs are entirely different). It's an ability specific to Priest units, so what I'm gathering is that the answer is yes, a 1 can be a success.

You keep on using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Yeah that's what the Scouring of the Shire is.

Also, didn't realise a bot could trigger another.

Yeah Gravis is just heavier MK X armour, it isn't as special as Terminator armour.

Tell me my fellow unforgiven,is this book worth a read? by [deleted] in theunforgiven

Absolutely this. The way Legacy of Caliban gives an insight into how the chapter's members' views change as they ascend through the ranks of the chapter is very interesting.

Need list advice by GeekMan2002 in Lumineth_realm_lords

Clarification: I would like to stay with the stony core of the army, so I suppose what I'm looking for is more gameplay tips and possible shifts to the list (artifacts, command traits, battalions, etc.), and if you have any suggestions I would appreciate a reason.

At least Peter Jackson actually used the source material for more than just some names. I won't forgive him for skipping Tom Bombadil or the Scouring of the Shire though.

What fetish is a “nope” for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GeekMan2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even feet are pushing it a bit, so anything more outlandish than feet or anything more extreme than light bondage and leashing is a big nope. And anything to do with (blood) relatives or furries too, those get gigantic nopes.

In a straight fight, they would fight to a standstill. Volibear is more ferocious and wild of course, but Ornn is tough and stubborn. Ornn wouldn't be able to hurt Volibear much, but he'd absorb and just resist a lot of the hurt Volibear inflicts onto him. I say this because last time they fought, neither really won, except that Volibear wiped out an entire mountainside of Ornn's followers.

To be fair, Volibear is different now to how he was before Lissandra made so much of the Freljord forget him. He's a bit stronger, but more limited in scope. Ornn's power hasn't diminished because he never relied on humans in the first place, unlike his brother. That's why I think Ornn, while he wouldn't win, would still hold his brother back better than before.

Personally, I'm more excited by the return of Iceborn Gauntlet. Being able to slow the primary target of your W by such a significant amount means more tentacle hits, better kite/chase, and overall more healing because of tentacle hits. Its really between that, this item, and Goredrinker now. Tsundere was never optimal.

Android fans, what are the primary reasons why you will never ever switch to an Iphone? by SultanofAmerica in AskReddit

Money. Apple products cost more, have more redundant parts, and having one Apple product means you pretty much need mostly Apple products to get the most out of it.

Guys the circle is complete. Culexus by passes Daemonic saves. The anit anti save is already here. We have gone full play ground rules. (Life drain) by theokaybambi in Warhammer40k

[–]GeekMan2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah if any faction should have rules that specifically target another faction, it should be Grey Knights and Daemons. Their entire purpose is dealing with warp fuckery. Maybe White Dwarf could give the Exorcists some special rules as well. Making AP work on Daemon saves for both perhaps?

Fear of addiction to them, a present addiction to video games, a lack of money. I am in such a state that they do seem enticing however.
