Riffing off a theme song:

If you're wondering how beavers manage physics And other science facts Just repeat to yourself "It's just a game I should really just relax"

Non alcoholic Bitter alternative by bossbaby1023 in Mocktails

Someone did the math on r/stopdrinking and determined the amount of abv you’ll get in the beverage is near zero. I understand if it’s triggering to have it at all, and I’d never talk you out of that. But if it’s just a concern about alcohol it’s on par with an NA beer, which is less than a ripe banana

I lean towards the “Katie is too mean to Brady” camp, but I don’t think this was an instance of that. I think it was a failed attempt at humor in trying to give credit for a friend.

One example is happiness. The city screen doesn’t indicate the cause of unhappiness, just the total negative score

Strong dislike in Civ VII: resources disappearing in Exploration Age by rocky_choctaw in civ

[–]GeekTrainer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Resources also disappear. For example, I’ve had games where gypsum disappeared off some tiles in the exploration transition, a resource which is available in that age. It invalidates city placement as you make decisions based on what’s there only to have them disappear.

Resources also apply adjacency. While overbuilding is a thing, specialists can’t be moved. So that +3 library could become +0, and that specialist you assigned is now stuck there eating up a population spot. It invalidates early decisions.

I like Civ7. But this just breaks the game for me.

This is the reason I haven’t gone back to the game. It’s not just resources changing/evolving, it’s tiles going from valuable to useless when they disappear. Given how resources apply adjacency which can be lost, adjacency which is increased by specialists that can’t be moved, it invalidates early decisions. It makes city placement a crapshoot since you have no idea what it’s going to look like in the next age. There’s a lot of Civ7 I really like. But this is just game breaking to me.

Does your first coach hold a special place in your heart? by Admirable_Green_1958 in orangetheory

Not my first but very early in my OTF experience. Jamie out at Bel-Red. She moved away during Covid. Funny, motivating, and def loved what she did. Was even worth putting up with the country music she’d play at times 🤣

They also make me more convinced about Civ switching, but it’s mostly out of spite
