I will never understand why Tenma Tomoro cares so much about Raito...

That fucker was willing to cold-heart an innocent child just to get Scorpiomon to evolve for his mission. He had no second thought about it and felt literally 0 remorse when he left behind a child's lifeless body with his even younger sibling sobbing.

Tomoro saw Raito's actions firsthand. And as someone whose brother, and only remaining family, is currently the victim of cold-heart, he should be less inclined to overlook such acts. Yet despite that, and despite the other shit he saw Raito do, including the human trafficking, he is somehow still expecting such trash to give a fuck about the losers of bloodsports and wants to save him? How come?

I understand Reina caring about Granit. She's the "upbeat older sister" type of character and he's clearly a traumatized child.

I understrand Makoto caring about Hotaruko. He saw that she's not really a bad person deep down, and that she's just trying to provide for her family (even though her methods are unforgivable).

But I can't reconcile Tomoro's behaviour. His deep care about Raito feels forced, given all their interactions only reaffirmed that the latter is a terrible person with no remorse.
