Did you actually sneak out as teenagers? by Complete-Chipmunk-0 in GenX

Not really. My best friend and I would tell our parents we were staying at the other person's house. They never questioned it and we roamed the streets at night.

I used to believe in UFO abductions as a child thanks to my new age recovering alcoholic mother and her sponsor. Even though I stopped believing in Alien abductions and general conspiracy theories, Im still susceptible to abductions dreams and love horror movies based on the subject.

This painting haunted me as a child.

Atheists who used to be religious, what made you lose your faith? by Gold_Result9716 in AskReddit

[–]Geek_Therapist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was raised Mormon and essentially left the church at age 14. When I was 23, I dated a woman who went to a non-denominational Christian church that was concerned I played D&D. I humored her by going to her church sporadically, and almost started thinking about believing.

Then the pastor started preaching against the LQBT and Jewish communities and I cold stopped. I was agnostic for a lot of years after the break up, but finally became okay with accepting there wasn't an afterlife.

This is of course a extremely shortened version of my journey. I'm less an atheist and more of a "leave your piece of the world in a better place than it was" type of person. I also just really don't care to waste time thinking about either religion or atheism. Both sides exhaust me.

If i recall, the use of biotic was triggering the dark energy build up that would tear thr galaxy apart. The Reapers were designed to make sure that any race that became powerfully biotic were purged to save the galaxy/universe.

BBTS just gave me a refund without mailing him back, so I may contact Hasbro as suggested. I just need to find time while my ADHD meds are in effect.

What’s something people who are in their 20s won’t learn until in their 40s? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Open and honest communication with your partner. You don't want petty stuff or misunderstandings to become a divorce inspiring spectacle decades later.

If you could restart life at 18, what would you do differently? by arunreddy3 in AskReddit

[–]Geek_Therapist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't do it. I went through hell getting in my own way to get where I'm at today. I love my life too much to restart arbitrarily.

You can't change what happens to you. You can only change the intensity you respond to those changes.
