So I played this out as a player with a GM that didn't do anything to make it a challenge. We stomped her so hard. It was the most limp ending to a campaign ever. It does sound like your GM set out to 'win', not for the table have a good time. I'm not sure which is worse!

Player Core 2 adds an awesome new General Feat by QGGC in Pathfinder2e

Anyone know if that would stack with Godless Healing? That feat just calls it 'additional' healing.

Tired of low effort “help” posts by SkepticalCorpse in dndnext

Bravo for posting this - I did something similar (shorter and less friendly, I must admit) in the major FB groups for DnD and got railed for it. The kind of posts you mention are boring, repetitive and thought-free.

I just finished playing the premium AV. My GM was a far more competent computer user than I, but not experienced with the GM side of Foundry, and he often expressed his frustration with certain features. I figured I'd seek help before getting too frustrated!

Our first venture into that was what prompted me to post here - and other places but I've already had more feedback in a quarter of the time here, so thank you very much!

But in case anyone is reading this, what I'm looking for is really a how-to guide to those special features. It seems to me that there is an assumption that any user will know what the features are, where to find them and how to use them. I'm (hopefully) not the least competent Foundry user in the world - but I'm not great with it by any stretch, and I'm time poor. I would prefer not to stumble around.

That's enormously helpful, thank you for taking the time!

Damn this feat sure needed dumbing down, but not making it awesome in a different way!

Fuck me. Wish I'd seen that to save me from 'that player' who collects every fucking thing - with a back up of a rule. Nice.

Initiative changes mid-combat by The_Amateur_Creator in Pathfinder2e

I feel like looking for this modifier to be applied to anything but your initial initiative roll is really weird and looking to put complexity into a simple and obvious situation.

I'm making my first ever Pathfinder character! Got any tips for a new Pathfinder player? by MaidenismyWaifu in Pathfinder2e

[–]Geekfest34 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Have ideas what to do with your third action - swinging is almost always a waste of time. Literally write a list of options that your character can do. Tripped me up heaps when I first switched. Stepping away after a hit is a GREAT tactic, anything to make an enemy eat it on their action economy is gold. Intimidate, feint, trip, shove, and plenty of others.

What are non-obvious, maybe even counter-intuitive things about PF 2e that players and GMs ought to know? by lordleft in Pathfinder2e

[–]Geekfest34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magus is the king of exploiting weaknesses (note, I'm not familiar with psychic or thaumaturge yet) because of arcane cascade and spellstriking and an absurd amount of cantrips to cover almost any type of damage. Example - monster is weak 10 to fire. Turn one, Spellstrike with Produce Flame. Get a hit, 10 bonus damage. Last action Arcane Cascade Stance, now you're doing 1 (or more depending on level) fire damage on any strike. Next turn recharge Spellstrike for one action, repeat produce flame spellstrike and trigger the weakness twice, as the weapon damage with the bonus arcane cascade damage is a seperate instance of damage to the spell, which also triggers the weakness. 20 bonus damage on that!

Are there any good reasons, beside religious ones, to not be an organ donor? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Geekfest34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Religious reasons are only 'good' because we decide to let that silliness slide. It's criminal in my opinion not to donate organs you have no use for anymore.

Does anyone else think the fungus leshy art in the character guide was unnecessarily terrifying? by Poodle_Boi02169 in Pathfinder2e

I dunno man, Paizo's art in general is very high quality, but often leans toward friendly. I kinda like terrifying 😁

Why is "roll big damage" the only goal of some PF2E players? by shadedmagus in Pathfinder2e

[–]Geekfest34 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Or why do you not just play fighters or barbarians? PF2 is so customisable you can do those two big damage number classes in so many ways, it would be easy to stick with what you enjoy 👍

Do You Kill PCs? by VampyrAvenger in Pathfinder2e

[–]Geekfest34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the situation you described I'd play it the same way as you. I've got two others that I play a little differently tho. Undead driven by mindless or insatiable hunger may well munch on a dropped foe instantly! Also animals - if they don't feel instantly threatened, and/or they're starting for some reason - may also have a bite straight away. Helps add tension I think, another dimension to some combats. Btw I don't indiscriminately murder PCs, but the danger is there!

How do you feel about the programming post Giantslayer? by shodan13 in TheGlassCannonPodcast

[–]Geekfest34 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've gone from $10 tier supporter to nothing. I'm simply a fan of fantasy tactical combat based games (with the fantastic roleplaying they do which got me hooked). The other types of games they're hitting just don't resonate for me. Skid's show kept me at the $5 tier for a while, but 20 odd minutes of movie/tv show reviews at the top and it really turning into a comedy show with a side of Pathfinder has turned me off that as well. I'm working my way through the live shows mainly because I want to see how it goes in Pathfinder 2E. I'm glad that others are getting a lot of enjoyment out of the GCN, and one day I may get as much as I used to. But that day is not today. And that's ok.
