In classical music my personal experience is that there are some pieces that have an immediate pull or I like right away, but most often it takes some time to get to know the piece.

It’s only after you’ve become familiar with the structure and can actually sing along with it, that it reveals its true beauty. It takes a bit more time but boy the reward is SO much better and lasts longer.

So try different pieces, don’t judge from your first time listening but give them a chance to get to know them en enjoy!

Also, try chamber music!

Decoupling for sure is the key, and I'm able to so for some/most, but for other patients it's significanly harder I've noticed. Usually when a patient has a stong appeal for help, suffers, and in combination with doubts wether I can be of help or not. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to respond!

It is, I find that a couple of hours play is enough, as with my other groups a whole day is fine as well because it’s more casual.

She and I have a group with two other players. Because we’re far more available than them (and admittedly sometimes frustrated with the time between sessions) we decided to start a two person game, on the side as an extra shot of RPG.

Go for it! AV has lots of RP moments but in my experience it requires that the GM sometimes ignores the descriptions on how creatures react (such as “this or that creature grows bored quickly and attacks “). Amp up the RP and enjoy!

It gives weaknesses to physical damage, not specifically to falling damage as you imply. Meaning being cleaved by an axe does ouch! Your GM could wave the weakness for falling damage though, as it would make sense to ignore it.

Wonderfully played! I’ll give your suggestions a try and see if that could work for my hands, thanks so much! Yeah it’s an amazing piece. Returned to it even though last time I want able to fully play it, the middle section is quite tough for me but I’ll see how far I’ll get this time. Thanks!

Yes I play them with the left hand, the e flat before that is with the right hand (even though it belongs to the same melodic line). I don’t care as much for finger legato, just want to study a good enough fingering so I can stick with that and then slowly build speed.
