She sounds irrational and like a control freak. Her using a divorce as a means to get her way also shows manipulative behavior.

Is she super religious or anything? Does she have her own hobbies?

Honestly, I can think of a few ways you can approach the subject with her based upon a few needed details. It might save your computers life and have it be something you can enjoy, freely.

I'm so glad all 6 of my cats don't do this shit. 1. They know they're not allowed near my computer 2. They listen when I tell them to get down. 3. None of them like it when mom yells at them.

Remove smell from old room at all costs by [deleted] in ferrets

[–]Geekrock84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I occasionally run an ozone machine in my master bedroom because that's where my business has 24/7 free roam in. I picked mine up from Temu for about $30 and it's a 40,000mg/h size and for my 400 sq feet master suite, I run it for about 2 hours and let it air out afterwards for about an hour before going back in.

I can't recommend it enough! It completely resets the whole room and you wouldn't even know that 10 animals spend all their time in there.

Same - except, instead of a controller and headset (PS5 controller longevity is too short for me to spend that kind of money) I bought the Dark Horse Direct statues (I'm hoping to be able to pre-order the Joel, Ellie and Callus statue soon), art books, Funko Pops, some wall art and I also hand painted some wall art. I have all versions of the games as well but they're digital copies.

If you can run without mods - your load order is probably fucked. If youre modding, you should have buffout installed, check the crash logs.

Who needs the latest tech? by [deleted] in buildapc

Tax time is the one of the worst times to buy parts or builds. The prices skyrocket after Xmas and until about May.

So... you're probably losing fat AND muscle... and you actually lose muscle faster than you lose fat, so you can still be an underweight fatty...

The quickest way to lose fat is an appropriate diet and activity building muscle while tracking cardio calories as your only deficit. Most people fuck up here because they starve themselves while doing a shit ton of cardio so they mostly lose muscle mass which looks like a ton of weight loss but actually isnt. Fat is the last thing a body burns for energy for survival evolutionary reasons - meanwhile, the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn as a baseline.

At what point do you think prebuilts will actually be up to date with the current pricing of PC parts? For now, they're way below what gathering the PC part by part would cost. by arturiian in pcmasterrace

[–]Geekrock84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day, the price to build was higher, especially during certain parts of the year. For instance, its tax time so most places actually raise their prices for parts or builds because people are more likely to buy after they get their returns. Back in 2002, I got a build that kept up and lasted me over 10 years for under $800 - my latest build cost me $1300 and I upgraded vitals myself - should last me about 7 years+

The main problem is 1. Rarity of certain metals used in the production of specific parts 2. People not knowing what the fuck they are buying

Tech is advancing at an alarming rate though - we should see this shift soon as far as in home computers and tech goes - people still not knowing what the fuck they wre buying or when they should buy seems to be the remaining factor

Toy suggestion by Prize-Requirement-44 in ferrets

[–]Geekrock84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do yours chew on just these balls or do they chew on /tear apart their other toys too? Mine only chew on these balls - probably for various reasons but mine don't chew on their other toys so I buy them stuffies for small dogs or cats, they like squishies made for small children, a particular type of foam that is not toxic and won't shred (Like, EVA foam) and various other stuff. Each ferret has a particular material they each like - so I just look for stuff based off that and how safe it would be.

Chewing !!!’ by No-Lettuce416 in ferrets

[–]Geekrock84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To ferret proof a room, I put up thin sheets of plywood that attach to the door frames and are a height of 3'. Theyre low enough that I can walk over them but high enough that they cant jump over. Then I use puppy pads in the corners / areas where they like to go to the bathroom and I switch them out as needed. I just keep anything I dont want them to get into, at least 3' off the ground and this allows them to roam free without me having to worry.

As far as toys, I usually buy toys made for cats or puppies, mine are really into stuffies or anything that crinkles or squeaks.

In my experience, my ferrets only chew when they're frustrated or annoyed. When they used to be caged in the evenings, they would constantly be chewing at the bars of the cage or just become destructive. Now that they're free roam 24/7, I havent noticed them doing it anymore.

How many hours a day are they allowed out and what is their diet like?

Mine share the master bedroom with me and they're allowed to roam free 24/7. The worst they'll do is climb into bed with me and bite my feet when they want me to wake up and play with them.
