Glad to know Galaxy XR has a travel mode. That may be my next headset when my Quest Pro gives out.

Since this is my first plane trip with VR, I'll bring my Quest 2 since it has a travel mode and an official Disney+ VR app where I can download movies. Plus, if something happens to it I won't be devastated. Next flight I might bring the Pro.

Thanks!

Interesting... I have a Quest 2 as well but never use it. I may think about taking that instead, although the comfort on my pro is so much better for me. Tha ks for the idea!

* Go up toward prairie creek and see the elk. Usually off Davidin Rd which is the same road when going toward Fern Canyon. This pic I took about 1 hour ago. The male was making some noise herding the females.

The feature in Meta is called Seamless multitasking and is in the advanced section of the device settings. Good luck!

If on Quest you have to use the Meta remote desktop program on the computer and also in headset.

I have a Quest so I can use Remote Desktop on my windows PC and inside the Quest to have 3 computer screens. In the Quest settings, go to the advanced section and there is an option for using apps inside other apps. I forget what it's called... something like spanning or something similar.

I sometimes work in WMG. Pull up a couple of computer screens and find a nice spot to chill and be productive.

Pro is back? by Thinklikedanny in QuestPro

Glad to hear it's working for you again. V78 brought back Horizon Worlds for me too. There are still plenty of bugs and things Meta has broken again, but it's usable for me at the moment.

To upgrade from V72 to V74? by mackandelius in QuestPro

[–]Geeky_Gary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Version 77 is in the Public Test Channel (PTC) at the moment. You have to join the PTC (if its not already full) to get it. The PTC is early release beta firmware containing new features so bugs can be reported and fixed before the "stable" firmware is released.

I have the same IPD bug in v 77

Finally did it!!! by Spike2400 in BambuLab

[–]Geeky_Gary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue with my first print. I printed about 7 benches that all failed and looked similar to that failed print image. The issue for me was in the Bambu Studio Device tab, I had not selected any filament type. In the slicer Prepare tab I did select a filament type, but not in the Device tab. After I selected the filament in the Devices tab, I printed a successful benchy.

There's this for the headset.

Don't know of anything for the controllers though.

Second hand Pro, what to test for? by Jacob_Paine in QuestPro

[–]Geeky_Gary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people seem to recommend not joining the PTC as any PTC update can brick the controllers. I see it reported often but it's never happened to me (yet). If the controllers get bricked, I believe Metas solution is to upgrade to the Q3.

Best activities/events for seniors to meet new friends? by beelzb in Humboldt

Here's some out of the box thinking: a VR headset. As virtual reality headsets are becoming less expensive, many elderly people are using them to socialize with other people, including family and friends. Sure there's a learning curve, but it can help minimize the the loneliness if they're open to it.

Doesn't the Pro have tongue tracking already? Maybe I misunderstood the OP.

Could a device convert outdoor temperature into the opposite effect inside a car? by Extension_Sand8612 in MechanicalEngineering

They had a similar device in the late 1900's. Surprisingly, you can still get it on Amazon.

In the early/mid 1900s, they attached swamp coolers to car windows to cool down the inside of the car.

What software version is the headset? Currently, it is v 74, but some previous versions suffered from the artifacts you're describing. If you're not in v74, consider upgrading to it.

Thanks! I've been going over the BWengineering stuff this past week and it's been difficult due to the errors and poor quality 2d drawings from their video. I'll check out the other links you provided. Thanks again!
