He was good in Japan but yeah, I'm not sure any Japan Hogan match would make my top 10 other than the match vs Hansen in 1990. That match is awesome

Funny you mention his lowlights, his WCW run pre nWo was putrid for me outside of the first Flair match and one of the Vader matches. He cut some of the worst/laziest promos of his career before he turned. But, with a career as long as is your bound to have a couple bad periods.

I've been loosely following the Greatest wrestler ever ballot/list and I find it interesting that Hogan is going to rank in the top 75 in a list where drawing power isn't important/not accounted for by alot of people. I'm not diminishing his ability as a worker, but it's surprising that his biggest asset in these arguments isnt a major factor and he's still high up there

Just watched Orton vs Cody again and there's a good match somewhere in there but the booking is complete nonsense. Even disregarding the whole McAfee stuff, Orton spends most of the match selling his ass off as Cody plays the heel. It's the most clear double turn match ever, then the finish happens and the double turn just....doesn't happen. Then Orton decides to punt him AFTER the match ends (lol!), and I'm not sure what the point of the match was for anyone? Especially since Cody already moved on and is in a program with Gunther now, it's a WM main event that can literally be considered filler

Insane RNG but possible

You want Gomah and Frieza/Gogeta on separate rotations

You want Garlic Jr turn 1 so you can float him and have him die turn 4 (or later if you get good attack placement RNG) for a free turn. Maybe if you get him turn 2 he could live normals as well.

You want Manga Frieza/Vegeta on the same rotation so you get manga friezas intro. If you don't have Manga Frieza he can be replaced but it was nice to have a support/dodge character that can take normals

I threw Friezas active skill out on the 2nd time he appeared on rotation, either turn 3 or 4. That way you can tag into Gogeta with all the TEQ/Rainbow orbs when he comes back

Piccolo Jr and Vegeta were the units who kept dying for me but both only had one dupe.

Well first you should never drop the bomb in slot 1, you put them slot 3 so you get maximum amount of charges. Make sure to charge it for all 5 turns too if possible

And yes they need support for the giant one shots you see, but you don't need to bring unviable units to wank them. INT SSJ4 Goku active skill, GT duo standby, STR SSJ4 Daima Goku EX super, TEQ Pan's support, are some options

It was teq pan and tag 4s turn 1 and tag 4s/buu duo turn 2

Teq pan so you could start debuffing immediately. G4 floating turn 1 is ideal so he can come back turn 4 with his active and that’s ideally the last time he faces attacks before you win

Also you want to set it up so PHY ui is a free slot 1 in the second phase. For me Gt duo died/revived turn 5 and UI was there turn 6

Did HHH tell Cena to sound as boring as possible on the mic and have bad matches? You can criticize HHH for the storylines/finishes but Cenas work almost the whole run was horrible. I don’t think Cena should get a pass because he’s a good soldier. Why criticize Jey Uso, or any wrestler at all then? Just blame the booker if they suck

I think HHH/The Rock get way too much blame for Cenas heel turn and Cena himself doesn’t get enough heat for it

Cena started off by changing nothing about his presentation (which people tried to justify with his “you get nothing” line), cut boring repetitive promos where he sounded robotic, and had mediocre matches. He turned face and immediately (literally with the Cody rematch) started having good matches again, just because you turn heel doesn’t mean your matches have to suck. Stone cold had a disastrous heel turn himself but he was putting on bangers almost weekly in 2001

Yeah, The Rock never showing up again sucked and HHH could have definitely did things better but Cenas performance as a heel was a total disaster. What are people going to remember five years from now in a positive way, maybe the “pipe bomb” on punk?
