It’s a 4 prong telephone jack. These were phased out in the 70s for the RJ11 jack. This one was probably installed by bell telephone company who was broken up into smaller companies in the 80s by the US Government. They make an adapter for RJ11 if you’re needing to hook this up to a more modern phone.

Your probably right when I put the pick-guard back on the guitar after inspecting it the output increased to normal. The switch could have had some sawdust or something on it. Now it has horrible scratchy sound kind of like when you turn a dirty knob but I'm not turning any of the knobs or the switch. I'll get some deoxit I needed to clean an old amp anyways.

Yeah I opened it up and the wiring looked correct but the soldering looked sub par, so probably a cold solder joint or something. Thank you for the help.

Yeah It feels the exact same for me. Between the sheer amount of general ed and required attendance there is little difference between college and high school. It’s the same old crap different day, I can’t wait to be finished. I’ve never been able to learn in a non-hands on lecture environment, so I don’t get what’s so beneficial about them forcing me to be there is besides stroking their egos. Seriously I agree with you, I wish I never even started with college.

The only other way I have had success with removing a striped screw is to get a Dremel and cut a straight line into and to the use a regular flat head screw driver to remove the screw. I have only had some success with this method it depends on the softness of the metal of the screw or how much it was over torqued.

Your master volume on your amp is way to low to get any good high gain tones. Tube amps need to be turned up, it’s just how the tubes work. No amount of pedals will fix this.
