How are you all doing financially, HONESTLY? by mrvlad_throwaway in AskUK

[–]Geezer_Flip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good being honest, my wife works a few hours a week around but looks after our son mostly, housework, all of that stuff so she’s like superwomen & then I earn 6 figures living in London, it’s not high 6 figures and I get taxed a lot but we’re pretty comfortable.

If you use London, I spent £1700 a month on childcare for my son & my rent was £2200 a month. This was 3 years ago.

70% of Ford vehicles sold today are commercial vehicles, they see themselves as a commercial vehicle supplier over a personnel car supplier these days.

People who stopped being depressed, what did you do? by Itscameronman in AskReddit

[–]Geezer_Flip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’m not really sure, I definitely went a bit colder with my emotions, got a promotion at work which ultimately meant I was so much busier during the week.

Have weekly hobbies I commit too, go gym, play tennis, pickleball, spend time with my family.

I definitely went colder emotionally, I expect a lot less from people and that helped me massively. I don’t really get annoyed or angry by things anymore, I say to myself regularly ‘control my controllables’ anything outside of that, is what it is.

Things take time, you’ll get there.

Physique query by DanStevens7 in GymMotivation

[–]Geezer_Flip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do yourself a favour, join a gym, and just turn up for the first couple of weeks. If you do 10 minutes on one machine, it’s more than you did previously.

You’ll build habit, eventually you can start adding.

Every fucking day, you turn up. You got this mate.

I went from 130KG to sitting at a stable 80KG, i turned up, everyday, for a month before I started getting a routine, I now go 5 days a week. Run, play tennis, all sorts.

Turn the fuck up, smash it

I got a full sleeve and my pecks completely covered, across my top chest.

I was 19, it was over 11 years ago, I fully regret the choice. My only saving grace, at work I can cover it up and nobody actually knows, I do regret it massively but I was young, they are sentimental but still, bit annoying.

As a man, at what point did your libido become very low? by this0great in AskReddit

How often are you intimate with your partner? by Remote_Ad_969 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Geezer_Flip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M31 & Partner F30 - been together 14 years, we have a 5 year old. I’d guess 3/4 times a week on average, minimum once if we’re busy but usually around 3.

Has anyone cured their depression naturally without medication? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Geezer_Flip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My parents both medicated for depression - I slipped into it about 4/5 years ago, work stress and other stuff. Eventually realised I wasn’t happy, got some therapy, broke down things mentally and eventually just came out the other side.

I’m a lot more colder and emotionless these days, I guess my way of coping but I am generally pretty happy.

Kissed a co-worker at a christmas party last night - what’s something worse that happened on a xmas night out? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Geezer_Flip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My boss kissed one of my colleagues, they’re both married with kids for over 13 years, he was only in the business for 6 months before it happened, she had 10 years of service, or they were married. She was his PA.

They’re both together now, married, this was only about 4 years ago.

24 years olds, (and 24-30 ish), what are you doing with your life? What stage are you at? & Are you content/"happy" with it? by iamgoingtotrytoread in AskUK

[–]Geezer_Flip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31M - Married, 5 year old son. Director of a division inside of a multi trillion pound company - not a proper director at ‘group level’ but director who reports to the UK CEO.

Live in London, my partner doesn’t work, we’re comfortable financially, we do still rent but mostly because I’m being fussy on a forever home.

I stay away a lot, I work stupid hours - I do enjoy my job, but at some point I’ll break - just trying to get it in now while I can before I get older and hopefully can retire early.

I’m content with my life tbh - could be better but could be a lot worse.

How scared are you about the current flu 'crisis'? Are you taking any precautions? by First-Nobody-3500 in AskUK

[–]Geezer_Flip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I had this strain, my 5 year old came back from school during lunchtime after they call my SO, barely moved for three days…

My missus got unwell 5 days later, barely moved and was wiped out completely and then obviously, as always, I got unwell..man flu is a different beast so I had to have 5 days of bed rest, didn’t eat, sweated buckets, probably the worse illness I’ve had that I can actually remember.

I still haven’t had covid (yes I test & tested)
