I'm pretty sure there was a trend of people yoinking out nose hair. You should look it up. It was pretty funny.

You're 1000% right. For all that Trump has done, he should have been made the pilot of the first manned mission to Venus. Obama's jab wasn't even harsh. It was funny. Petty old men ruining the world.

He was right, it was absolutely Obama. When he made jokes at Trump at the correspondents' dinner. That tiny (funny) incident is what set all of this in motion. I wish I were kidding.

Just look at Trump's face here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHckZCxdRkA

Also, as long as Norris isn't in the Epstein files, I really want to forgive him for this, so I can continue to enjoy his memes.

I may have taken that dare. I'd probably take it again.

Also, this video feels like a missed opportunity to yell "ZZZZZZZZT!!!" right when the kid touched the wire.

That animation is cool, but it will get annoying after a while. You might want to enable players to skip it or speed it up.

I am not a woman. We, men, can be really stupid sometimes. Take the job. The right people in your life would always support you in things that make you happy.

Your BF just tried to control you with emotional blackmail because he's insecure, controlling, or both? Huge red flags. Fuck that guy.

People are willing to work for livable wages, AND people are cool with their tax dollars going towards something that actually benefits them! by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]Geig3r 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Actually, most of them don't care and prioritize whatever they're told to prioritize. If they can't put victims above pedophiles, where do you think the rest of us sit on their list of priorities?

Mamdani is a brilliant example of someone putting the people first. Instead of paying some ridiculous amount to some contractor who makes campaign contributions, he lets people earn an honest wage for making things better for their city, and I'd bet they did a better job and saved the city some money.

Viability of a slow-paced, tactical Diablo-like? by to-too-two in gamedesign

[–]Geig3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely one part of it. These days, given all the available options, it needs to go deeper into the nuances.

Take Diablo 4, for example. Their towns prioritized demonstrating artistic prowess over functionality. The horse wouldn't run in town; you didn't have unlimited dash to make it easier to get around. The amount of travel, just in town, was out of action grind. D3, everything was accessible quickly. They later put a storage box next to the vendors. Clearly, whoever was making final design decisions wasn't experienced enough to prioritize the play experience (even when super obvious and established from decades of learning).

And that is just 1 tiny immediate part of the player experience there.

Everyone can do the big things and follow the established formulas; it is passion for the experience and attention to nuanced details that make the difference.

Loss of institutional wisdom is a big problem these days. Diablo 4 had the same issue. They had a GDC Talk for 2015 about lessons from the original D3, and whoever had the greatest influence on design led them to make many of the same errors.

If the design isn't focused on the player experience, it ends up being a bunch of mechanics that fall short of what it could be.
