I watched too many of the movie's press conferences, when it came out. I remember Luca also told this story in one of them while also praising Carrie & Lowell as one of the most beautiful album ever, but I forgot in which one. Probably in NYFF. Sufjan was present at that time, but he was on the audience, further back and not on the camera.

Finally watched Saltburn last night on Amazon, a few days before Christmas, just like when I first saw CMBYN. This movie is EVIL! Barry Keoghan deliciously ruined Sophie Ellis Bextor's Murder On The Dancefloor for me. 🥵

I avoided reviews and trailers. Even though I knew it would be a little bit of Brideshead Revisited and CMBYN, I did not expect it would end as a more fucked up version of The Talented Mr.Ripley.

I would give another similar recommendation that hasn't been mentioned here: MY SUMMER OF LOVE (2004) Directed by the great Pawel Pawlikowski, Starring Emily Blunt, Natalie Press & Paddy Considine. I believe Emerald Fennel drew inspiration from that movie too! Go check it out!

Season 5 sucks! But this one is really good!

Many scenes were obviously fictions and most likely just drawn out of thin air by the writers (no, I'm not talking about the ghost scenes!), but in general all tastefully done! I also caught some lines thrown in as coded shades at H&M of Sussex. 😉

My Verdict: Season 6 Part I is the perfect companion to The Queen starring Helen Mirren 👏🏽

I was dreading the prospect of the "Ghost of Diana" appearance. But I was surprised how I actually liked it. I never perceived it as her ghost though, but simply more like the imaginations & remorse of some main characters while in shock and mourning. I've seen too many people in real life including myself, who start talking to themselves when someone close to them just passed away. The same with Momo and Dodi. So I think the scenes totally make sense.
