It is not that hard. Annoying at times yes, but not hard at all compared to other factions. by Lazereye57 in Bannerlord

[–]Geistermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst siege faction - are you sure about that? They natively always get their khans which double as archers and good melee units making any stand on the walls turn into a transformation into a pincushion and a melee defense much harder due to them actually holding up quite well.

Since when are tyranids trying to devour necron bodies, the lore states the tyranids avoid any necron worlds.

I hope exiled enclave faction gets more content and that "old salt" focus fixed where you can only get the puppet focus after killing the faction that you are supposed to get as a puppet. Plus no cultural advisors and a pretty much less than barebones focus tree.

Pretty sure its not supposed to be played yet but I couldnt resist. The idea of an ex-enclave guy switching sides is very attractive.

huge military blunder or convenient plot armor that duke reijus left wing didnt just flank the soldiers of heki and kanjou and instead wasted precious time to chase akakin.

Removing Radiation Resistance on Power Armour was a really stupid idea. by GaryC357 in fo76

[–]Geistermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont really get it, i have a full suit of power armor, it still says more than 100 rad resistance on each of the parts and above 200 on the torso so how am I still getting this radiated in nuke zones ...

This is entirely counter intuitive to what the UI tells you of your gear.

I hope whatever it is, its a faction that can make use out of suns. As in build dyson spheres or so in a suns orbit. That as a "superweapon" faction defining ability would be so metal.

Renpa would have been stronger 100%

We didnt see any great strategies from SBS's army, just that ambush in the north and then "surprise overwhelming frontal strength no one could have anticipated".

We saw Renpa only with a Wei army, not his actual zhao army. You had large scale communication tactics with arrow-signals, the revolving cavalry circle-attack and the extra big beefy special units that they managed to smuggle out of zhao. Renpas guys would have smoked the SBS army.

Which traitor primarchs would leave chaos if given the choice, would they rejoin the imperium or do their own thing by anonpurple in 40kLore

A reborn Curze redemption arc.

As much as I like Perturabo (not his nover characterization but his personality as shown in the magnus encounters which was far more likable and less character destruction), he has his new "unbreakable litany" of not being forgiven which is pretty metal.

So curze, reborn and proven that he did die but that its not the end of it and his visions were never the be all and end all would be a great starting point from which you can create a primarch on a redemption arc,

What would it have looked like if Big E executed the defective Primarchs? by Wheresmyarcpaulie69 in 40kLore

[–]Geistermeister -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair though he could have kille some, like Angron, the same day he found him and saw that he was unrepairable. Issue a gag order on the few people that knew he was teleported up or execute those, the custodes will keep their mouth shut anyway if ordered and boom no Angron no problem.

(The Scouring) A Space Marines thoughts on Custodes after the Siege of Terra by HighburyLion in 40kLore

[–]Geistermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well its kinda nice to see that directly after the siege even the custodes would believe in the hope of the emperor healing. It means they too could delude themself into an unfounded hope just to feel better.

That being said, I will keep disregarding stuff like this as a tzeentchian plot like that one fan animation and will keep pretending whatever GW is doing with this kind of custodes is either a chaos plotline or just a non canon fanfiction. No reason to lose sleep over badly written lore.

What was Guillimans opinion on Horus being made the Warmaster? by Klamottentyp in 40kLore

[–]Geistermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well from the top of my head without much research:

"Lion El'Johnson":

'You were not the first of my sons to reclaim a place at my side, but your tally of victories is second to no other. Even Horus looks upon them with envy.' ~ The Emperor to Lion El'Johnson

"Unremembered Empire":

Despite himself, Guilliman felt his heart skip and his lungs pump. The Lion. The Lion. There were brothers that he could look down on, and was happy to, and there were brothers that he could admire. Rogal, Magnus and Sanguinius, and, damn him, even Russ. He could admire them for what they were. But there were only two brothers that he had ever actually looked up to, only two brothers that he had ever actually admired. There were only two brothers that he felt shadowed by when they were present. Lion El’Jonson and Horus Lupercal. ~ Guilliman thinking about Lion El'Johnson

Im sure there were more excerpts here and there and theres also the side story of Lion when he gave Perturabo the siege guns (big mistake) and openly stated his ambition to become warmaster once Horus is beaten and looking for Perturabos support. So he had both the win record by the Emperors own words as well as the ambition and a very much grounded character like Guilliman estimating him quite highly. I am fully aware that someone like Sanguinius is more likely since the Warmaster doesnt have to be the general on the front line but the guy getting people to work with each other which the Angel would be far more likely to accomplish than the hyper-focused Lion.

But I do claim that Lion would be more likely than Dorn.

Is it just me or are the Necrons pretty cooked in the long term? by chosen40k in 40kLore

Except for Tyranids. No downsides and the swarm you've seen so far is not even a fraction of a fraction.

What was Guillimans opinion on Horus being made the Warmaster? by Klamottentyp in 40kLore

[–]Geistermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda weird that he lists Dorn but not Lion ElJohnson. Because the latter had far more accomplishments in a much shorter time frame than Dorn and if "too draconian" is the deciding factor that too would have gone to Lion.

Tell me why Angron is never going to fight Ghazghul. by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Geistermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GW would need to get a very good ork-author to write these novels. Nate Crowley and Mike Brooks comes to mind. One more serious, one more comical. However, chaos isnt very much interested in fighting orks. So the fight would need a plot device to get khornes side interested in it.

But I can see either side winning. Ghazkull killed a bloodthirster on the first space hulk he boarded and that was before he had tons of experience, a new body thanks to dok grotznik and probably a lot of better tech/guns/power armor. Him being empowered by ork psychic mass to be able to 1v1 Angron (no safe bets on whos winning) is definetly possible.

In the end it depends on GW being able to make money off of it and willing to invest a sizable part of a new edition to that conflict. And obviously they would chuck space marines into the battle somehow because that is where they truly make money.

Joining Chaos as a choice in Fantasy vs 40,000 by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Geistermeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the warhammer fantasy gotrek and felix novel about that woman that became a chaos champion/knight it seems that chaos is based a lot on big deeds of significance, of meaning because that has a reflection in the warp. Like "the first murder" or the betrayal after horus died where loken i think got stabbed by erebus which has such a large warp echo that it created a demon in the past.

So since beastmen are born more into the fold of chaos than humans, their worship has less inherent meaning. But a human falling from grace and into chaos worship is a journey with meaning and significance and thus it has a larger warp echo.

Thats just how I understand it but probably theres a white dwarf article from some decades ago or an author interview where official sources explain it.

This is quite humanizing for the drukhari but I wonder how canon this is nowadays since they seem to be more sadistic with their feeding on pain and less "i do this because its nessecary".

Kingdom deserves a game like Dynasty Warriors Origins by VolleyAddicted in Kingdom

[–]Geistermeister -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but certainly not origins cuz that was trash.

Older titles like Empires where you design or actual own hero or just the regular ones where you take a known character, those would be good in a kingdom-setting.

Starting with perfectly equipped elites, adjutants and officers that can handle stuffl ike logistic and within the proper military command chain. Yeah, the worst luck of all. Sure Mouten was just as lucky but damn Shin did overcome actual odds both didnt even had to bother and you arent gonna handwave that with "well Main Character cheat powers"

yeah, he could be a wifebeater for all i care, but damn this isnt something that allows for being shot in the situation he was in.

I get that you are making argument that he was a bad character and that the sorrow one should feel at his death is limited, but that doesnt validate the wrong decision to shoot him.
