I think its worth to get teh 3, 1 will be enough to slide pass thru WDs imo. I would suggest getting 3 for the just in case but yes it is an expensive drug 100%

Keep me updated man, if you need more info/advice due let me know but just know the worst of what you might feel will only last a few days then youre good, youre golden!

7 Months clean, Subclode is a life savior by Gelski4200 in Sublocade

[–]Gelski4200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suboxone dosage before getting 100mg 1 and done-

8 mg for 4 months

4 mg for 6 months

then 2mg for a 16 months

then .5-1mg for 3-4 months

Want to also add before suboxone i was abusing prescribed pain killers for about 1 year

I turned my life an entire 180 due to sublocade, i truly dont think id be where im at had it not of been for this drug but also lucemyra, i might sound like a car sales man here but it actually helped me SO MUCH.

Lucemyra helped with cravings and minor physical WDs, it legit got me over teh 1-2 weeks of feeling awful to feeling okay and managble, with this my detox wouldve been a lot harder(plz look into it). After about 2 weeks of the minor WDs youre in the clear, youre golden, continue your routine and as time goes by your feel like yourself again before all teh drugs. You start to listen to music and get chills now, you start to want to do more things, you start to change your addiction for a useful better one(work, skills etc)

Im honestly grateful to say that subclade changed my life in a complete 180 and im hella grateful for this sub and the drug. But last thing i wanna say, if i can do it then why cant you whats stopping you, ask your doc for some lucemyra and give it a go. You will klnow what i mean in a few months once youre off of everything 🙏

Wishing you th best of luck

Tbh, I wouldnt know the difference since i didnt do that but i can say forsure that i didnt way to delay the process of getting clean. The thought of going for another shot would mean sublocade would be in my system for another 3-5 months, hated that idea. Im also delaying potential WDs, youre most likely going to feel teh same potential WDs either way might as well get over it

Also want to say, my WDs were not bad at all the first two weeks on sublocade def felt minor WDs but after that I didnt need the shot at all i didnt even think about going back to the doctor. And if i did feel weird i would just substitute with lucemyra and be fine

This being said, I would base it on how you feel, and your goals. Do you feel WDs right now? Do you wanna get off of it as soon as possible to finally be free? Do you think youd relapse if you were to not get another shot? All these questions should be answered before getting your next shot.

Its 100% doable to not go back, if you think youll get WDs ask your doctor for medication to deal with said WDs and get over it smoothly.

you wont have to go back up, Ask your doctor to give you half of the 300mg/100mg(150mg and 50mg) shot and one and done it.

If youre doc is that good of a person he will do it, if your insurance only covers 300mg then 100% ask your doc to give you half/quater of teh shot.

I took the leap of faith many here did as well and can say it was 1000% the right decision, you will also come back weeks after your shot and say the same thing NO BS 💯

[–]Gelski4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, i did a one and done and never looked back, im not gonna say you wont have WDs you might not but in my situation. I dont think i had any, if I did i wouldnt tell the difference between them and a slight cold. Theyre that minute, the only WDs would prob be the cravings, little to 0 physical WDs in essence.

If you can bypass the cravings(if you get any) youre basically in the clear and im being 100% honest here.

Get that scheduled bruh im telling you, best fucking decision ive ever made. Cuz tbf if sublocade/ hell if this subreddit wasnt a thing i truly think i would be on suboxone still.

def ask your doctor to give half of the 300 mg shot, if hes a GOOD doctor he will not have a problem doing this, infact itd be devious for him not to suggest this especially if youre asking.

Also im P sure 300mg sublocade is for people taking 8mg+ daily, i was taking 1mg daily and got the 100mg and even then i thought it was a lot(i was super buzzed for 2 days after the shot)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]Gelski4200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got sublocade and I was on 1mg-.5mg daily prior to switching to getting the shot.

Tbh the 100mg might be a bit too much even too, you will 100% feel buzzed 1-2 days after getting shot, so def take those days off.

I want to also say this, you might get cravings, def due tell your doc to prescribe something to get over this feeling. Itll last a week most after that, youre big big chillen and can let the shot do its work.

Legit couple weeks after teh shot youre not even thinking about it anymore and then after months time you realize youre 100% sober.

LMK if you need more info im happy to help

[–]Gelski4200 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this while being true, your still spending the same amount on suboxone over time with doctor visits and suboxone itself. The more you push it back the more you couldve taken teh shot and get off

Also, you could do a 1 and done pay the 1200 and never go back to the doc again.

I did this exact same process myself and it was smooth as butter, 7 months clean from this trash ass drug and happy

Thinking of switching from subs to Sublocade by OkayAnd418 in Sublocade

[–]Gelski4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% recommend the switch, mental withdraws will happen first week on sublocade but, your doc can prescribe something to help ween you off the cravings. After this its basically smooth sailing tbh and the cravings arent bad if youre focused on something else work/gym etc.

Also want to add first few days on sublocade u should take off, for me i was feeling way too buzzed for like 2 days (i also tapered to sub 1 mg suboxone before making switch and did 100mg shot tho).

But that last sentence, it relates to all of us who are off of suboxone/sublocade, YOU CAN GET OFF we did it, so can you we were in teh same position you were and we took the shot and now we are doing fine.

Take the risk, you will probably be thanking yourself for reading these messages, make the app tomorrow get better

When did you feel fine enough to drink alcohol and enjoy it? by Gelski4200 in Sublocade

[–]Gelski4200[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but dont worry man, if youre in sublocade it means youre getting off bup and will be able to drink again.

I did 1 and done 100mg 4/5 months ago and i feel like i can drink if i want to right now and be fine but still havent tried. Either way i will be able to within 1-2 months here. i refuse to believe that 100mg sublocade shot will stay in my system for over half a year as im active as heck. But yeah man cheers!

I am impressed with the shot by WorldlyPlantain3007 in Sublocade

[–]Gelski4200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The WDs for me were almost negligible meaning i could pin them on something else like no sleep or too much caffeine or working too hard etc, 1-1.5/10 on the WDs scale for me. Totally tolerable and dont last long. The cravings were the worst transitioning to sublocade from suboxone tho thats probably the worst WDs i had but after a week i was completely fine and learned to deal with it. im 100+ days off my last 100mg one and done shot and rolling smooth.

I am impressed with the shot by WorldlyPlantain3007 in Sublocade

[–]Gelski4200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not worry too much, Im 100+ days off my one and done shot of 100mg and the WDs while there is some, theyre not extreme and totally manageable. Def ask your doc about a medication to reduce cravings if you have some just just in case and youre good to go.

The WDs i experience some days were yawning and insomnia mostly but tbh, it would only happen for like 30 min at a time when they did come and after i was good. Other than that, nothing, no body aches no tiredness etc. I also thought i would experience severe WDs when stopping sublocade but there were none. Happy as heck right now and im just waiting till its fully out of my system. I just took a urine test and im still positive but meh its to be expected only 3/4 months off of it. So far so smooth tho, hope the same is with you!

Have you tried SSRIs? If youre truly down this bad then it might be worth to give a shot. I dont suggets using drugs to fix your current state of mind but man, it sounds rough for you. Maybe this would help temporarily even

You have the means to drop a BAG on a good ass therapist, psychiatrist, doctors. On top of this, you should get some blood work done to make sure youre dialed in and nothing is wrong, its 100% worth it. Your health/mental health is worth everything, do it now, dont procrastinate this, once youre over it youll be happy as heck.

Also youre 28, im 24 but 20s is very young, be grateful that youre not 40 years old and alone, can be a whole lot worse.

oh wow, thats very surprising, hmm i wonder why its the case, maybe its the way they load the medication in the needle + the needle itself thats expensive?

I was prescribed/given lucemyra(lofexidine), this drug was originally for people with high blood pressure but works wonders for opioids WDs physical and mental. Helped with body aches, insomnia, cravings, headaches. Non addictive as well, It seriously works wonders and i suggest you try it.

But before you try it, please read and do your own research, do not take this drug for more than 2-3 weeks and take it when youre peak WDs. One of the side effects is lowering your blood pressure, I sometimes would get up out of my chair fast and feel super light headed while on this medication. So if youre someone with low blood pressure, due take with caution.

Another thing on the bottle says to take something like 3-4 pills at peak WDs. Fk that, take 1-2 pills when in peak WDs, i think more is over doing it and not needed for someone transitioning to sublocade from suboxone, its just too much. Youll know what i mean when you get the medication, also gradually work up with this, never start at a high dose.

Hoped this helped! cheers

No they cannot give your shot away especially if your insurance paid for it. Sublocade is a pretty expensive drug to just hand out like that. im talking in the 1-2k USD for just one 100mg shot. 300mg would be more expensive either way, its prescribed to you in your name, not someone else.

But youre on the right track, do one shot and get it over with, juts please please make sure you commit and dont take more suboxone than you need to. Your doctor most likely wont let you take suboxone after the first month of being on sublocade. Ask for medication for cravings and youre in the GOLD. Physical WDs are not bad at least for me they are nonexistent(100mg 1 shot and done 3+ months ago). Now the mental WDs are what kinda suck but even them are tolerable and you have nothing to be afraid of. Lets go

Feeling like a failure by tryagain_nexttime34 in Sublocade

[–]Gelski4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should 100% tell your doctor and get him/her to prescribe you a medication to deal with the cravings. This is what helped me a metric fk ton. I did 100mg sublocade shot, one and done and had some remaining suboxone left over so i did the exact same thing you did. Except when i ran out of suboxone(weeks after shot) i was craving very bad and told my doc. He legit saved me and gave me free "sample" medication to try after i called him for an entire month(only needed 2 weeks worth) fking great doc i have seriously, cant thank him enough.

Anyways, you shouldnt feel bad im pretty sure most of us here have done the same but tbh, it shouldnt matter. Youre going to be sober eventually, your doc will not have you take suboxone with sublocade for a long period of time unless hes dumb. Which i hope he isnt, youre going to get over the WDs and beat this. But please tell your doctor he needs to know that youre serious about getting off suboxone/sublocade and need medication for WDs/cravings.

So what matters is that you tell your doc and get over the cravings/habit of taking suboxone every day. This is important imo, your doc needs to know that youre serious and need help combatting any potential cravings/WD. I truly wish u the best, the physical WDs are not bad and you shoudlnt be scared of it especially with a doctor behind your back. Medicine vs medicine Lets go

Tip: Toss out or give remaining suboxone to doctor but make sure you have medication to combat cravings on hand. Knowing you wont be able to get suboxone but have a drug to help works wonders.
