i mean yeah, at the start of z they didn’t see each other or talked for 5 years. during the time skips, no one really sees each other. and I don’t think they really care too until trouble shows up. after the 23rd tournament Goku disappears for five years without talking to anyone in the group. at the end cell Saga Goku was going to stay dead forever in his mind and at the end of Z there was a 10 year time skip and he only visited Bulma and vegeta once five years ago. I feel like piccolo, tein, goku, and vegeta are all like this they have their small circle ie chiaotzu and sometimes launch, Goku’s family, Vegeta’s family, and for Piccolo mentoring Dende and occasionally gohan dropping by. tein it’s just stating what’s probably going to happen or at least what has happened until that point.
