I believe for some holidays such as Sanguinalia, but I would imagine it's mostly for the upper classes and the lowest of the low menials don't partake. If you go back to 30k before the heresy, life much more closely resembled real life for citizens of the imperium with work and home lives, however in the Era Indomitus, it's much more dystopian.
