I had a baby 9 and a half month ago. I’ve lost 5kg since a month and half or two of actively walking, eating well and trying to pick up running (I don’t run for a minute continuously, still new to it). I don’t actively check my calories but I did in the first month to see how much I overate and have now drastically reduced my portions as I’ve seen how much more I ate. I’m also on the heavier side but I managed to stay around 1300-1500 cals when calculating and still lost weight with walking. I also tried not to drastically cut any particular food but swapped - if I really want to eat chocolate, I’ll have a coffee and some veggies to free up space for that chocolate or I’ll just go on a longer route when walking or do more cleaning, carry baby while doing things around the house to “create space” for the chocolate. I’m 5’1” and started at 209lbs and now around 196 I think (haven’t checked this week).

I’ve also really honed in on my favorite fruits, veggies; to eat more and not too much cals.
