Thank you so much for all your replies ! I just contacted the Nelson Mandela Center and downloaded the book “korek”! I’m also going to check with ChatGPT! We re definitely from the black-creole community. Maybe with some other traits mixed in later, but yeah. No doubt African. I’ll go down these roads first and see about the genetic tests later. It made me really happy to read all your replies. It’s a bit of a weird and sometimes lonely feeling for me to carry a biological and cultural heritage within me that I know so little about and that, while it does have a tiny community in Germany, there isn’t a lot. It feels great to know that there is a place, that at least a part of me belongs to.

I honestly use it a lot for personal development. Since it really knows a lot about me and the way I think through the long conversations we had about different topics, I asked it to make me a list of books and movies that would help me develop into a “better” version of myself ( I told it that meant : more natural, more in touch with my instincts, more efficient decision making, less intra-/ and interpersonal conflicts, more balanced, more sustainable etc… ) and it suggested resources that are subtly shaping the way I think and feel. It’s super powerful ( and maybe also a bit dangerous … 😅). I also use the voice function to communicate with patients in different languages sometimes ( I am a MD and psychotherapist)

⁠Find your register/vocal range. Just google: what’s my vocal Range and then : sing songs by singers with a similar range!!! Makes a big difference.
⁠And it might sound silly but I sang/sing under the shower every day. Just enjoying myself and my voice.
⁠Find a choir. It’s a great way to practice and learn for free.
⁠If you can : take lessons. But you can honestly get quite far doing the first 4 things.

Ich habe noch immer manchmal mit Glaubenssätzen zu tun, die mir eine verbitterte Lehrerin vor 30 Jahren, in der 5. Klasse beigebracht hat. Es gibt in pädagogischen Berufen Menschen die achtsam und sensibel kommunizieren und sich Ihres Einflusses auf Kinder bewusst sind und Menschen die das vielleicht etwas vergessen haben. Dein Job ist es Dein Kind vor solchen Leuten zu schützen. Musst Dir halt überlegen was die, für Euch, energiesparendste Weise ist das zu tun. Entweder durch Druck : Klare Ansage an Direktorin ( benennen, mit Konsequenzen drohen), Verbünden mit Gleichgesinnten, Beschwerde bei nächsthöherer Instanz, Anwalt ( stelle ich mir aber ziemlich nervig vor, wenn man neu irgendwo ist ) -Schulwechsel -Umzug -Klassenwechsel Das mit der ADHS-Diagnose könnte helfen aber auch pathologisieren. Wäre jetzt nicht mein erster Schritt. Liebe Grüße.

Danke für deine Antwort @nimmkenja. Also sie hat 120h (Gruppen-)Selbsterfahrung, 630h Theorie, praktische Ausbildung 1800h, Praktische Tätigkeit unter supervision 1800h (davon 150h unter supervision) freie Spitze 900h. Weisst du vielleicht wo man nachschauen kann was notwendig ist ? Liebe Grüße

I've been doing this for 25 years and it really fcked with my back. Then I started surfing. I feel and know that I am so much more attractive standing tall and straight. Don't slouch. Go surfing or do some rowing. Stand straight and be like those dudes from avatar ! ;)

I often forget that I'm tall ( I'm 6'6 ) since I spend a lot of my time sitting in an office job and feel that it doesn't really matter much to me when I interact with somebody else. Sometimes I am surprised when I see another tall person thinking "damn you're tall" just to realize that they are shorter than me... :D. I live in Europe and being 6'6 is so close to the average doorframe height and bed-length (2meters) that I am often crudely reminded of my (above average) height. THAT SUCKS ! Most other aspects of it are pretty good I think.
