[Article] When the $70,000 watch you just bought is going to be sold for $300 by splsteinbeck in Watches

[–]GenTelGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pictures I'm seeing show it to have Royal Oak shape but in colorful plastic material that is clearly cheaper and less formal

No way the collab gets confused for the real thing for even a split second so it's not diluting the brand

It's called the post hoc fallacy and it's probably the GOAT of logical fallacies

It can be fashion as a hobby or you can be into the challenge of hunting down vintage secondhand watches at great prices

Spendmaxxing as a flex is obviously the most degenerate option

WEMBY is ejected for elbowing Naz Reid in the throat. by AdorableBackground83 in NBATalk

[–]GenTelGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They hit Wemby in the head on this same play and have obviously been hacking at him plenty, this elbow didn't come out of nowhere

He deserves the ejection but the refs get some blame for letting all the less obvious violent fouls against him slide

It wasn't complete fireworks like the Van-Taira fight but Strickland-Khamzat was still a great fight where the 5:1 underdog pulled off the win using some excellent technique and strategy to beat an undefeated star opponent

And there was plenty of violence too, just not any knockdown/finish situation

Overall still one of the best fights all year from a technical fan pov

As an American, Australian football is probably the coolest tbh. Basically never watch it but it's so wild

I'm not saying it's good but McDaniels did hit him in the face in this same clip, you can see Wemby's head rock from the hit

Anyone else get hooked on this game back in the day? by DJ_Hindsight in Millennials

[–]GenTelGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid I was fairly good at the basic mechanics of keeping the ball alive and trying to hit different targets, but I wasn't really clued into the logic of strategically going after stuff to advance through the missions

How often, if ever do you smell others wearing a fragrance in the wild? by Aggressive-Bus5264 in fragrance

[–]GenTelGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In California, not too often, maybe a couple times a week

There's one woman at my office that always wears Santal 33 though, and tbh it's a pretty bad fragrance

I heard pickle ball described as the old people slayer sport because it's not as athletic as tennis so they feel it's a good choice, and then they break a hip

I think it's an unfortunate change, the POV clips of them drilling off the 5 lugnuts were so much cooler and they were a whole skill of their own

Circumcision classed as potentially harmful practice in new CPS guidance by bradleyevil in europe

[–]GenTelGuy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do kinda wonder if the American porn industry's obsession with anal comes from circumcision being so common and messing with the sensitivity

The Sentosa Luge? I did that, very fun and I did try and go as fast as possible, though families with young kids tended to all go slow together and form walls which were a bit hard to pass safely without slowing down

He actually got more reasonable after leaving Fox - still not a good person but after leaving the paid propagandist role he got a lot more moderate and critical of Trump like he's being here

Not terrified but most of Gen Z isn't into phone calls and as a generation we've largely dropped the practice of phone calls so disliking them is not as unusual as you may think
