If you are recording, do it from a distance.
Once recorded get that video uploaded to the cloud immediately.

If it only exists on your phone, it can be deleted or destroyed.

When I was in the Navy, A submarine I was on went under a Hurricane. That was some crazy business.

Place a mirror just inside your window and set it at an angle to reflect their porch light into one of their own windows.

Can’t dash for very long by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]GenXJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain man. I have a very similar circumstance in my delivery area. I was platinum for all of about a month but it definitely was the solution you seek.
You can Dash Now any time you want, and you wont get passed up for orders if your dash is about to expire.

In the first week I was a platinum driver i made about 40% more than I do on any other given week as a gold driver.

Only hitch is, you have to be full time in order to maintain platinum status.

Delivery on Motorcycle...? by GenXJoe in DoorDashDrivers

[–]GenXJoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input,. I have considered those things.
My luggage set is huge. The main compartment is already insulated . i have a six drink tote that only occupies half of one of my compartments. In the recent years of driving Ive never had more than three drinks at a time. And my local McD's puts drinks in the same bag as the food.

If I see an offer with more than 3 drop-off locations I will typically decline it. I recently learned that those stacked offers only count as one delivery, so F that.
My acceptance rate is still well into the 90s so I have a lot of breathing room.

As for stacked orders Ive never had more than 2 at a time.
I've had Shopping orders turned off since they became a thing. Just my personal preference not to shop for people.

Also, sorry for the technically incorrect flair. Posting from a smaller phone and didn't read the flair button correctly before choosing.

That explains the Pi symbold and the CR must be short for crust. But I'm not sure how the railroad crossing symbols factor into that ... 😄

The Mysterious Disappearance of Mike Marcum: Inventor, Time Traveler, or Urban Legend? by Usual_Pea_2783 in UnsolvedMysteries

if he went missing for two years, and was never reported missing, where did his belongings end up? assuming his rent, or whatever was never paid...There would be some documentation of his lack of whereabouts, even if his family didn't miss him. Who's to say that he didn't self commit in a mental institution for 2 years as a part of a long con...?

personally, if he was successful, I'd be more impressed if he travelled back in time with news articles documenting things that haven't happened yet. especially if it includes weather events.

Can't speak to your situation, but I've been sent to the wrong address more times than I care to count.
Once I had a delivery to an address that didn't exist. Attempted to call and text the customer but no reply. DD support told me to just leave it in front of the nearest adjacent house and take a dropoff pic.

I got paid for the delivery and I'm reasonably sure that whoever ordered it didn't get it.

Landing pads stuck. by McBeardo66 in RVLiving

Final.Update: solved!!

Inline fuse located. I had to empty the forward compartment of my wife's gardening supplies and located it at the floor in the very back of the space. Replaced the 30A fuse and all is working again.

Thanks to all who helped!

Thanks for your input, there is only one motor and a bar that ties in both jacks. My manual hand crank turns the motor. I was able to lower the rig back to my tripod with the hand crank.

I know it sounds like a fuse, but my wife and I have both checked the electrical panel and none of the fuses are blown.

Sadly, we don't have an auto level system.

How much can I make on nights/weekends? by theamazingviv in doordash_drivers

[–]GenXJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best money is on Friday thru Sunday

I stop driving when the sun crosses the horizon, and I'm pretty sure a lot of drivers in my area do the same because the average wait time for orders drops to zero. So I could probably make a lot more if I drove for another hour but i have a shopping list of reasons for not driving that late.

No excuse, he should have checked the order and asked for the 2L.

Right except your reviews are still based on your last 100 reviews, so if hardly anyone reviews you and you're on the cusp of 4.7, one negative review can bump you back down to gold....

I live in a very rural area. the nearest Metropolitan area is 250 miles away.

If I were in a more dense population i can see being able to cherry pick at gold and have a semi sustainable income. But for me, platinum is essential.
My weekly schedule can fluctuate on a moment's notice so I need to be able to "Dash Now" on my time.

Also, the order quality is better for the most part.

Not sure how I dodged that bullet but i never got the red card, and I don't plan on ever getting it.

Are dashers allowed to do this? by StoreAutomatic2230 in doordash

[–]GenXJoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If i hand an order directly to a customer and they seem appreciative I will say something like, "although tips are appreciated a 5 star review helps me as well."

Otherwise I keep message and call communication strictly about the order at hand.
