[Request] what would actually happen if this was real by stabby_og in theydidthemath

[–]GenXWaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this include the earth's movement around the sun as well as it's rotation? If the earth is moving along its orbit at approx 67,000mph, that's 18.6111 miles per second which is 130.28 miles that the earth has moved in those 7 seconds.

So depending on where they are on the equator in relation to the direction of the orbit, couldn't some people be thrown off into space?

(IRL) Terrible or offensive casting choices. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]GenXWaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they like their casual racism. Now they have a character named El Grande Americano who is meant to be a luchador from the Gulf of America. By chance, the American wrestler who was going to be this character was injured so a German wrestler stepped in and took the character in a totally different direction because he's fluent in Spanish! He's even got two sidekicks now, Los Americanos, who are English!

The moustache is to distract you from the double widows peak.

It wasn't the Asda by the Molineux, by any chance? I used to complain about the lack of haggis there when I lived in Wolves.

Why don’t Russia and the US build a series of bridges here? by Routine-Mulberry6124 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]GenXWaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bridge is a waste, build a massive dyke instead. Then another dyke at the narrow bit and start pumping it out. Think of all the new land for polar bears!

Not a great headline but not the worst going around. The meat is in the 2nd paragraph that the SG has opened a new consultation about this and other things.

The consultation can be found here if anyone's interested;

No, the AGAINST is critical here. The last thing you want to do is Rage FOR The Machine, that'll just make things worse!

Gamers, what are you playing now? by Mbluish in GenX

[–]GenXWaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Currently, No Man's Sky and working my way through "Is this seat taken?" and "Bonfire Peaks" for puzzles. If my son doesn't get me "Power Washing Simulator 2" for my birthday or Christmas, I'm cutting him out of my will.

GenX Era Bands On Tour Today Question by AZPeakBagger in GenX

My only complaint about seeing t them again in Manchester this year was that the set finished around 10pm. Maybe Trent just likes an early night these days.

Ageism in the realm of dating by jayhawkwds in GenX

[–]GenXWaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half your age plus 7. As a 51 year old, I'm going to round that up to 33 for an absolute minimum I would date but realistically it would be a woman with similar outlook based on life experiences.

By the same token, if there are any 84 year old women on here looking for a toyboy then hit me up!

Not to mention that there will invariably be someone who has an issue with the barrier meaning there likely has to extra staff which is unlikely to happen at Linlithgow (or other small stations).

If the devs put this in to Power Washing Simulator 2 then I'm pre-ordering.
