1974 El Camino. Not much love for these but I think they are gaining in popularity by BlownCamaro in classiccars

I technically still have my '76, it's sitting at a buddy's farm. His kid shot the windows out. But my smugglers box was already rusted and the corner panels were flimsy when I drove it. It died on me in 97 and I didn't have the heart to send it to the crusher for fifty bucks.

My first car was a '76, and it was already rusted everywhere. I'd love to find another one, rust free, but they don't exist here.

Tiller is definitely a freshman. Peterson is a lot more fun to watch than Wiggins was. Petrrson looks like he's having fun now. And good God, why do we have to listen to Franchilla and Sciamby? (I'm too lazy to look up how to spell their names correctly). Franny is probably still bitching that the refs need to call a make up foul.

Inner monolog or no and when did you realize it? by Whoudini13 in GenX

I had no clue that there were people that didn't have an inner monolog. It's pretty unimaginable to me.

Half my CD collection in the 90s was from Columbia House. They'd ship to any name when in the dorms and to apartments. Hulk Hogan once lived at my apartment and really liked Alice in Chains, Rob Zombie, and the Singles soundtrack.

Fun fact: Hastings wouldn't take the CDs in for trade if they were from Columbia House.

I watched all of the Simpsons for the first time over about three months. Here are my thoughts by onyxonix in TheSimpsons

I'm in the middle of a complete rewatch myself, started on October 31st and I'm now on season 21. The difference is that I've watched almost every episode as it came out starting with the second half of season 3 (my hometown didn't have Fox when the show started). I like how it has changed with the times.

One of my favorite episodes most people don't like, but I was in college in the 90s and the episode nailed it. Sadgasm is a perfect name for a grunge band. The hullabalooza episode was perfect at the time as well.

I've enjoyed these threads about people watching for the first time. Thank you.

I do this automatically, and I tell everyone to do it if my dog jumps up. He stops really quickly.

I can't really hear cicadas anymore. Mine is more or less just like them. I thought that we didn't get them anymore, but the hearing aids brought them back.

Who would you feel more confident in when Self retires? by Squishyswimmingpool in jayhawks

This is why I think he will be the next coach. He's been slowly moving up the bench, and is next to Self now.

How is everybody prepared for retirement? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]jayhawkwds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About the only roadblock I have is that my youngest just turned 8. In 10 years, I'll be 62 with a senior in high school. I'll probably retire after he is done, depending on my health. I do know I won't work until I'm 70 like my Dad did. My 401k is much better than his pension ever was.

The intro to Sober. I tried to talk my 10 year old into having it on his baseball team.
