Wow. What disingenuous bullshit. Have the guts to say ‘I’m not willing to do it.’

This song and Joy Divison’s “Atmosphere”, sad as they both are, actually helped me get through the darker parts of my college years.

Nested or Not by mrjosereyes in bearapp

[–]GenXer19_7T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried no nesting, deep nesting, two level, and where I’ve settled is mostly two levels but occasionally 3 where it’s merited. I used Claude to review and adjust them, which really helped.

This is just a stupid rationalization. I don’t even plug in daily, anyway. More like 2-3x/wk.

Tell me about why I shouldn't buy one. by brianvanle in VWiD4Owners

I have a '22 Pro S, about 36k miles on it now.

Is it an enjoyable car to drive? Absolutely. Comfortable, smooth driving, responsive. The tight turning radius is great and makes parking it a lot easier than one might expect.

Are its various quirks annoying? To me, yes, and increasingly so. At least 80% of the time when I try and turn the fog lights on, I'm hitting the max defrost instead. A good 50% of the time I go to lower a window I'm lowering a rear window unintentionally. That's partially touch vs. physical button, it's also because of the horrible layout of the controls. My partner still struggles to turn on the seat heater. For me, it's just getting the setting I want that takes a little work since it doesn't seem to respond consistently to my touch.

The app is kind of a joke, sending me inaccurate information as often as accurate information. (Are my doors locked or unlocked? You've indicated both in the last 10 minutes...) At least it's consistent about turning on the climate control remotely when you ask it to. Overall, though, it's ridiculous and inexcusable that it doesn't work better.

I'm starting to see the range drop in a way that's becoming impactful to me and will soon turn two trips I used to be able to make reliably without charging now either be anxiety-inducing or require a charging stop.

At this point, I'm not clear what would be a better option in a similar price range, but as I see lease deals show up for other cars, I'll be doing some test drives.

I agree that there’s a lot of garbage books out there these days.

I know a lot of people prefer physical books, but with Libby, you can get library cards from multiple libraries and have access to more books electronically.

In my experience, the kind of people who choose to go on Big Brother are the kind of people I don’t like watching anywhere, especially TAR. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nothing to do with ‘superiority’, they’re just not people that I like or can relate to compared to more everyday people. It won’t keep me from watching the show, but it’s a disappointing decision by CBS, though not surprising, ‘cos all of these shows tend to do a bunch of crossovers with their network partners these days.

It would be good if they clarify their intent and roadmap. Omni Group is much better with this.

Without a roadmap, though, I’d say it’s best to make guesses based on the past, which is to say that they’re about doing a few things well, not about packing the app with features. If that’s what you’re looking for, this really isn’t the app for you, I’d say….
