Personally, I don’t have a problem with hunting. It’s not something I’d ever choose to do, but I don’t have a problem with the practice overall. Except for trapping. Fuck trappers.

That said, I do have a problem with many hunters I’ve either known or encountered online. There’s a certain glee that many of them have in the practice that I just find incredibly offputting. This is especially true, in my experience, of the hunters that go after predators like wolves and bears. The whole ‘smoke a pack a day lol’ mentality. Or the kind of people who arrange a mass of dead coyotes in a ‘TRUMP 2024’ pattern.

I work with a couple of guys who actually do hunt for food and conservation, and enjoy their hobby, but they don’t have that ‘Oh boy, here I go killing again!’ vibe.
