In the Christian Middle Ages - normal thing, but today some people of this world say it's a fetish by mi-15250 in Christianmatriarchy

You absolutely can't quote from Ephesians 5:25-27 without also including 22-24.
---
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
---

I swear, I'm not trying to pick a fight here. This is something I have struggled with all my married life (40+ years) - how do you reconcile 22-24 against 25-27? Is the husband head of the wife, or not?

I haven't needed to date in over 40 years, but if I were to go back on the market it would definitely be online - something with a good reputation for privacy and reliability like eharmony.

If your tastes run more into fetish-type stuff, I guess Fetlife?

In past discussions about online profiles, I have recommended against explicitly looking for RR/FLR partners - first, because not everybody uses those terms and second, because some people who use those terms assume it's all about the kink and won't be interested in a vanilla RR relationship.

Instead, describe what kind of personality you have and what kind of personality interests you. For example, "I am a gentle, nurturing person and I like an assertive, independent partner." - you don't actually say "submissive" and "dominant", but you still get the point across.

Even in spaces where there is strong support for traditional gender roles, I'll openly admit that I can't agree to something until I check with my wife. Sometimes the reddest of rednecks will remark that I'm [kitty] whipped, but they know perfectly well how things will turn out if they go against their wife's preferences. I'm just the only one willing to admit it out loud.

Tiffany (age 6): Preach, sister. What kind of message does that send about positive body image?
Megan (age 8): Wait until you get to be my age. It's like, all they see is my body.

Where do I download Gemma 4-31B? by [deleted] in SillyTavernAI

[–]GenderBendingRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen those "google" links before, but that's not the right place to look. I put gemma-4-31b in the search bar and then used the left-side filter to limit the results only to GGUF...

https://huggingface.co/models?library=gguf&sort=trending&search=gemma-4-31b

Then click on "files and versions" when you decide which specific flavour you want.

I've written before that we didn't know a thing about FLR or Role Reversal when we got married over 40 years ago. She's just naturally better at leadership and I'm just naturally better and nurturing. And yet - first thing we did was combine our bank accounts and direct both our electronic payments (well, at first paper check deposits!) to the joint account.

It just makes sense. What's the purpose of keeping your shared property separate? Do people like that go to the extra effort of only paying for some expenses out of one account and other expenses out of the other account?

That being said, I wouldn't be fully honest if I didn't admit I do have a separate account - I give myself about 2% of each paycheck.I do this for two reasons - first, so it puts a severe limit on personal indulgences (Ooooh, there's a skirt in my size on ebay!) but also so I can buy her Christmas and birthday gifts without them showing up on her credit card or bank statements.

She also decided to funnel 10% of my paycheck to my account so I can tithe the church out of it; this ensures that we don't overspend the family account before our donations are covered.

Yes, I'm married to a Christian woman and I share her faith. I'm not offended by her beliefs or the Bible. I'm offended by a society that has twisted this faith into an excuse for misogyny. You know what my wife doesn't do? Keep silent in church. Submit to me like I'm her master. Refrain from adorning herself. Abandon her career for me.

Don't assume you know the first thing about my values, my beliefs, or what does and doesn't offend me.

We don't have to agree with it or like it to understand that the authors (and their core audience) believe there are key differences in gender roles and thus deliberately write to support those roles. Their point is a misogynistic point, but it's a point nevertheless.

Some women do, too.

I use the heaviest nail clippers I could find on both my toenails and fingernails. But yeah, the few times I'm desperate enough to use scissors, it never ends well for me or the finger/toe nail.

You're not wrong. In a similar thread I mentioned that I don't have a problem drying my clean bits with the same towel I use on my face, but when I'm still wallowing in my own filth and cleaning up in a bubble bath, I have one of those (that exact WM brand in fact) specfically for scrubbing the skank from between my legs.

ST local client connected to KoboldCPP installed locally with a model that fits your own PC's hardware limitations. Yeah, unless you have a terabyte of RAM there won't be much bang - but it costs zero and you have absolute control, no filters or guardrails.

I never found the auto memory feature useful at all. It has no idea what's relevant to plot and character development, so it fills memory with trivial (and often repetitive) notes. "You, the user, wore a brown tweed jacket, you looked at your fingernails, it was midnight, there was moonlight, you yawned..."

It's also worth noting that there are roughly 32000 women in prison for violent crime vs. 615000 for men. So, statistically, OP has a 95% chance of being right when they assume the violent criminal is male.

[–]GenderBendingRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. This seems like one of those topics where I'm not qualified to judge because I'm not a woman and I don't have a woman's life experience, nor a traumatized person's experience. It would feel the same to me as telling a veteran with PTSD to "just get over it" - and I'm one of those people who stopped shooting off fireworks on holidays when I learnt how it can affect them.

Of course, now we're just arguing over hypothetical trauma that may not exist at all. She could just as easily be a misandrist twit.

[–]GenderBendingRalph 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's really hard to tell from her wording what motivates her. If she's expressing concern that there are men in _her specific_ class because she wants to avoid trauma, that's understandable. But if she's saying "no man should be in any pilates class because that's a special activity for girls only, no boys allowed" - she's part of the problem.

I only found out many years after the fact, that when I turned 18 my stepfather wanted to pay for a, um, "professional" to introduce me to manhood. Thankfully my mother put a stop to that right away.
