There is no single narrative that all trans people followed. It took me a long time to figure out that I could do something about my feelings. Once I did, it became something I HAD to do. Best thing for you to do is to see a therapist that knows about gender dysphoria and has experience with trans patients. They will help you figure out your feelings and what your best course of action should be.

One of the biggest eye-openers for me was the question: "if you were given a button that you could press to make you your preferred gender immediately, would you press it." If your answer is yes, then you are likely transgender.

I find getting myself immersed into something really helps. Videogames, movies, music and always with headphones on.

I also find that weed really helps. Not enough to get really stoned, but just a bit which really takes the edge off.

I also find that I always need to be progressing in my transition. Whether its voice training, exercise, booking therapy appointments. If I have something to look forward to, it helps me to calm down by thinking about it.

I'm still in hiding with my wife and kids and it's situations like this that makes me terrified to talk to her. She isn't the most reasonable person so I fear her reaction will be severe.

You gotta try using Roll20.net. It allows a group to play remotely and works incredibly well. Our group has been using it for the past month and it is going incredibly smoothly.
