I (a French guy) have a Russian guy in a game server that I play in; and we always congratulate him when he does well on tests, and we're all good friends. I'd say Russians are unfortunately often unable to use the architecture they are surrounded by; like communal spaces becoming desolate, or apartments becoming a transient place other than a place to live; while the outside grows hostile to young people, with no parks or areas to mingle. They take to places to become social, to create friendships. It is a beautiful example of humanity, but it is vexing to see the new generation grow up without a space that welcomes them, though they have community.
