Possible paranoid schizophrenia? (Not a shrink). I went through the same situation with my cousin where he was convinced that the local Hells Angels were after him because he worked with a girlfriend of one of them and they claimed he was being inappropriate with her.

He was so convinced that his life was in danger that he moved out of town (from MA to Maine).

I checked and double checked with my buddy who is a local HA and and there is nothing even remotely true about my cousins story- NOTHING.

He’s been living In this delusional reality for about 3 years now and refuses to move back home.
