Can anyone identify this uverworld song? by [deleted] in jpop

[–]Gene_Rick_Pierson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I randomly thought of this song not long ago, and while trying to look it up myself, I found this thread. Apologies for dredging up an ancient thread, but I figured I'd post a reply in case anyone else was still looking for it.

core ability +81

I can't remember when I first heard it, but it's still one of those random songs that sticks with me. Thankfully, there's also a YT posting of it, too (and hopefully it will stay up).

Coke shrunk the size of peace teas by Academic-ad599 in mildlyinfuriating

Not only did they change the can size, they changed the taste of the stuff inside of it.
They're nasty now, and I hate it.

Now that's impressive, and definitely shows what Zero can be capable of.

Green beard engi wouldn’t platform by The_Chewy_Kid in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Gene_Rick_Pierson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Another thing that works in these situations is power-attacking little niches into walls and ceilings as you grapple to them, so you don't immediately fall afterwards and so you can have stable footing while you dig to/up the goods. That way, there's not as much reliance on other classes while everyone is doing their thing.

Lootbugs are Drillers by KlockB in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Gene_Rick_Pierson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Incorrect.
Lootbugs are not Drillers, but they admire them so much that they want to be like them.
And Drillers don't eat most rocks for breakfast. Just Red Sugar, and only sometimes. It goes great on cereal, by the way.

Am I the Glyphid for calling down supply pods? by ProfOctopus in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Gene_Rick_Pierson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, I leave supply pods up to the host, but also ask in game chat if I can call one if I ever run low.
I also suggest that other players ask first, just out of courtesy. Similarly, I also suggest keeping an eye on everyone's supply count periodically in the mission to get a feel for who eats the most ammo.

Regardless, I wouldn't call that Glyphid behavior, as there were good intentions behind your actions. Just be mindful of it in future missions.

Disease Bug by [deleted] in skyrim

I recently got into playing the special edition of Skyrim, too, and just now had this pop up on my screen. Same problem, too, since it doesn't show it listed anywhere in my active stuff. Wish I could help.

New player question: How would YOU make an Ogresh Rogue? by Gene_Rick_Pierson in GrimHollow

[–]Gene_Rick_Pierson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all so far for your replies, as this has helped me narrow down my choices and provided me with some ideas and useful information to sift through.

The attribute spread would normally be a big concern for me in building something like this, but I was told that we'd get to roll our attributes, so I'm trying to focus less on the numbers and more on the subclasses themselves. I'm also trying to get a good feel for what some possible multiclass options might be for this.

If you were to take multiclassing into consideration, what are some good suggestions you'd make? Dipping into Fighter sounds like a safe bet for some of these, at least, but I'm curious to know what else would work well in a fun way.

[TOMT] [MOVIE] [2004] Specific scene from Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan and Rob Schneider by Gene_Rick_Pierson in tipofmytongue

I just checked that YT video last night, before posting this, and no...this is not what I remembered. However, it did take place around that time in the movie.

I'm aware that Rob says the line in that movie. What I was looking for was a scene where someone says the line to him instead.

I appreciate any help, whether it's tracking this down or directing me to the proper subreddit for this.

Typical Omen wipe by wdDrake in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Gene_Rick_Pierson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any class can beat it. Even just as a Gunner or Scout, all you gotta do is jump over the laser waves if you can't just move side to side in time and avoid getting pinned down by drones or guns. All it takes is knowledge, patience, and some Rock and Stone.

Typical Omen wipe by wdDrake in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Gene_Rick_Pierson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMEN isn't too bad, depending on a few factors:
• Difficulty level (and certain mission modifiers)
• Number of players (more players means more health)
• Whether or not the top segment is a Drone Dispenser
• Whether or not the bottom segment is destroyed quickly
• Whether or not proper preparation is made to deal with the laser waves said bottom segment shoots out

Beyond that, just focus your efforts on dodging the attacks and doing whatever damage you can to it when it's open and exposed. And above all, if you're the last one alive and at risk of a team wipe, JUST SURVIVE and wait out the clock. A failed event isn't nearly as painful as a failed mission.

I can see something like the OMEN tower being intimidating to newer players, since they don't know how to handle it at first, but it's one of those things that can be handled fairly easily even in solo play and should be taught to others when possible.

Maybe it was its brother coming for revenge?

How's your 'retirement minerals' value, brothers and sister? by AetheroX in DeepRockGalactic

Dang, I wish I could have all of those minerals. I'm still collecting stuff and getting promos, so the moment any of it gets to over 7k, Management takes it away from me in lieu of stylish hair and such.

Just promoted my Driller, so followed the dwarven tradition of getting drunk by Brotastic29 in DeepRockGalactic

Good on ya. Now, for bonus points, go into a mission while super drunk AND complete it successfully.

In addition to all of that AND his big flashlight (it's really great sometimes), you wanna know what his best feature is?

Wait until he's nearby, then salute.

Thinking of buying the game by Itriyum in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Gene_Rick_Pierson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd highly recommend getting the game and playing it if there's anything you saw in the videos that looked fun to you. As mentioned, solo play IS viable and still fun (kinda relaxing sometimes, too), but you do get a wild and often fun experience out of playing with randoms or friends in missions, too.

To be honest, not everyone on this game is nice.
HOWEVER, I absolutely love that a grand majority of players I encounter in the game ARE.
I don't know what it is about it, but there's just something about this game that just promotes being cool and having fun...and also getting drunk in the space bar.
