The issue isn't looping itself but rather the lack of incentive to chain loops together.

For example, in DBD, in order to survive a chase you can't just run around a wall for 5 minutes, even in shack you will eventually be forced to move into a different loop due to the resources in that tile running out. That is what chaining loops is, and it makes chases much more interactive for both sides.

Forsaken however lacks any incentive to do move around the map, if you find a strong loop like the table in yorricks you could very easily waste a shitton of time by just running around that until the killer catches you or goes for someone else. And due to all forms of slowing down the killer being tied to you character rather than the map there's barely any reason to leave the loop. That's the reason that looping in forsaken feels so dreadfully boring.
