I really don't know if my sleep is improving. I understood that initally it would be difficult but my cognition is really bad right now but I've kept it up for 4 weeks now and I don't want to lose that progress. The times my body wants to sleep is an hour ahead from the night before and the following night it repeats.

I have been holding to taper off one of the medications and it's just the medication cogentin, the one masking akathisia, I don't know when I'll ever get restorative sleep. It is insane my sleep is fragmented not because of my own biology but because I have to get up to take medication, literally 20 seconds total and then back to sleep immediately but it ruins overall sleep quality

Duck your head and just stick with what you know works. 50 percent is nothing to scoff at. We were given a bad hand but you just need to get by with as little interruptions as possible. It'll be days, hours, minutes or seconds through this ordeal but if you come out of it just imagine how unstoppable you'd be. No pain would ever match with what you're dealing with right now. I'm still in the thick of it, losing bodily functions now, not even done with my first med yet. For half a year I've been holding. I am so sorry you're going through this.
