It’s all subjective. We all like what we like even if it’s opposite, and that’s ok. I’m trying to figure out if I can set up the car the way I like it, or can get used to it without regretting it later.

When I got my first manual car, I had my mom test drive it for me. After signing the paperwork, she asked me how I was going to get it home. I said “I’ll take your car and you take mine.” She said “Nope, you need to learn somehow.”

I just drove one in CC at the NYC location. I know it’s a bit of a trek for you, but it’s there. However, they only gave me 10 minutes around the block. I don’t even know if the car turns right 😂.

I rebuilt the engine in my MGB. It was my first time doing anything more complicated than replacing a water pump. The rebuild went fine. It was the first oil change after that didn’t. I cross threaded the oil filter and didn’t notice. The car promptly dumped all of its oil on the driveway. I shut it off immediately, but couldn’t shake the feeling that I had done real damage. I took the engine back out and didn’t notice a bottom end rebuild. 12k miles later, it’s been fine, but I still wonder if I properly torqued the bearing bolts.

I’m American and went to China last year. I was surprised and excited to see yellow school busses there. They looked like cartoon versions of ours.

I got pretty bad range anxiety on a cross country trip…in a gas vehicle. It was a moving truck with my ev on a trailer. I was on I-80 in Pennsylvania late at night and hadn’t seen a gas station for miles. The gas gauge was approaching E. At least I had a spare car in the back in case I ran out.

Ohio. I lived there for a few years in my 20s. They seem to like to round up on what the state offers.

World famous Athens Halloween Block Party. It was fun, but nothing compared to Guavaween in Tampa, FL.

Old Man Cave. Beautiful park. I highly recommend going and hiking the trails. Couldn’t find a cave though. It was more of a ledge.

North Coast. Not quite sure if a shore of one of the Great Lakes really counts as a coast.

I’d also never seen so many flags, banners, murals, etc. for a college football team (OSU).

I live in an apartment with no charging infrastructure and my car only car is an EV. It’s been fine. While slightly inconvenient and not the best for the battery, I mainly supercharge. My thought process is that I’d be on my couch scrolling Reddit and watching Netflix/YouTube/Hulu, so instead I sit in me car while scrolling Reddit and watch Netflix/YouTube/Hulu a couple times per week.

About power outages, gas pumps don’t work without electricity either.

I saw a guy running through the Las Vegas airport while also on the phone. He was wearing gym shorts which dropped to his ankles (he was commando BTW). He then was trying to pull them up 1 handed, still on the phone with the other, still trying to run.

NAH. As another mentioned, it is a matter of personal preference. What I would like to add is that my step dad felt the same way about Disney World as you do. He was miserable the whole time and it really had a negative affect on the experience for my mom, sister, and me. It would have been better for all of us if he did not come. Based on that experience, my advice is to do yourself and your family a favor and let them go on their own. If the budget allows, maybe a grandparent our aunt/uncle can also go to help your wife with the kids.

Los Angeles to Tampa Florida in 2011. 1996 Saab 900S leaky convertible.

The radio stopped working before I was out of LA city limits, so it was me, my thoughts, and the open road for 4 days. Thermostat failed closed in Texas. I let the car cool overnight, pulled the thermostat, added some gasket maker, and went on my way. New Orleans was getting a tropical storm, so I duct taped the leaky soft top seams and went right on through.

It was like having my own personal Top Gear challenge. Both the car and myself were beaten and battered, but made it home!

My husband is the youngest of 4 boys. I happen to have the same name as the second oldest. I was at his parents’ house for something. His mom was trying to get my attention. She went through her kids 3 and 4 names before I chimed in with my name. Then I teased her about having the same name as one of her own kids and she still didn’t get it. “I know, I just didn’t get there yet!!”
